I know what you mean; I wanted a Nismo when I went shopping but couldn't handle the large spoiler (what would the neighbors think?) & rougher ride. I ended up with the base auto & love it.

Wasn't feeling it though, the rev match took away all the fun. Sometimes it was clean other times it was jumping. I know that's due to me not being use to it. Clutch was mushy as hell, way too soft for me. It actually felt as if I were down grading lol I also got to test drive an automatic sport packaged Z and that felt way cleaner and more powerful than the nismo.

So for now i'm going to stick with my modded up 09 Z

Just so you know, you can turn that SRM off and I don't understand what's the difference between a Nismo's clutch/transmission and a base M6's clutch/transmission after you turn the SRM off??? Nismo made that change from a base model too???

How come I haven't read it from anywhere else???

And also, look is totally subjective. I love my Nismo and so I believe many others.

I know you can turn it off and on, but since I have a base Z I wanted to drive with it on and get a feel for it. To me the clutch felt mushy. then again that's due to me being use to driving my Z. My clutch is firmer compared to the Nismo i test drove

Nissan isn't known to make the best feeling nor the most consistent transmission manuals out there. Nissan has always made hit or miss manuals, so maybe this is why he doesn't like the NISMO manual.

i got my nismo because i loved the way it looks LOL XD

i feel you wernt given a proper test drive, instead of taking it out on the freeway, see if there is a back road near by and open up the nismo there, from what i have noticed, the nismo and base/touring 370z feel the same when pulling in a straight line but when you get in the corners, the nismo has neutral handling(in my experience driving it) while the base/touring has a tad bit of understeer(not much but enough for me to notice it)

sure ride is rough but seriously who buys a car like this and expects it to be soft and quite

we tried to but there was a CHP hiding lol

thats understandable

i got lucky cause where i went to get my nismo, they were right by the 67 near some of the really fun parts as well and the sales man let me open both cars up there and i just had a blast with the nismo, the touring/sport was fun but i really enjoyed the nismo personally

you should give it another shot and see if CHP is there lol

the GTM Stage 1 TT kit will make the 370z a GTR killer(stock GTR)

Unfortunate you didn't enjoy the MT. I personally love mine, especially srm but I don't have nearly as many issues driving the Z's mt as others it seems. Pretty sure manual is a dying breed.

When I bought my car I definitely didn't want the nismo but something about the 2013 makes me kinda want one.

IF you are modded pretty decently, then your car very well may be more powerful than a nismo. secondly, the srm takes some getting used to, the way u let the clutch out on the downshifts will determine how smooth it is.third, its the same clutch as your car, so the difference in peddle feel MAY (?) be attributed to the lsd (doubtful).

sport, touring is the way to go imo. i like the nismos, but also like me some creature comforts inside
