Test drove the 2013 Nismo

So I got to test drive a 2013 Nismo, very disappointed.:shakes head: Not what I made it out to be. Was considering upgrading from my 09 Z to a nismo and was all excited to be behind the wheel of it. Dealer was kool as hell, let me take it on the freeway and test her out:tup: Wasn't feeling it though, the rev match took away all the fun. Sometimes it was clean other times it was jumping. I know that's due to me not being use to it. Clutch was mushy as hell, way too soft for me. It actually felt as if I were down grading lol I also got to test drive an automatic sport packaged Z and that felt way cleaner and more powerful than the nismo. :ugh2: So for now i'm going to stick with my modded up 09 Z :driving:

Nismo looks like a rice rocket to me

Really? I like the look, it goes well with the Z design IMO

I have to admit it blew me away especially using the panel shifters:tup:

I barely use them, and I made myself a "short"-ER shifter with a really simple "knob"/stick thing and I use that, and G'damn, I love it every day

The shifting on it is WAYYYYY nicer than on my ISF, and that has lockout. The 370Z lets you do whatever whenever

JungleZ 01-09-2013 12:33 AM

i think its just the wing and rear bumper that kill it for me, i love the front end.

Hm, really, I'm the opposite, since the nose is down-turned so much it looks LITERALLY sad and slightly retarded to me

I know what you mean; I wanted a Nismo when I went shopping but couldn't handle the large spoiler (what would the neighbors think?) & rougher ride. I ended up with the base auto & love it.

Just so you know, you can turn that SRM off and I don't understand what's the difference between a Nismo's clutch/transmission and a base M6's clutch/transmission after you turn the SRM off??? Nismo made that change from a base model too???:ugh2: How come I haven't read it from anywhere else???

And also, look is totally subjective. I love my Nismo and so I believe many others.

I know you can turn it off and on, but since I have a base Z I wanted to drive with it on and get a feel for it. To me the clutch felt mushy. then again that's due to me being use to driving my Z. My clutch is firmer compared to the Nismo i test drove
