@OP
i feel you wernt given a proper test drive, instead of taking it out on the freeway, see if there is a back road near by and open up the nismo there, from what i have noticed, the nismo and base/touring 370z feel the same when pulling in a straight line but when you get in the corners, the nismo has neutral handling(in my experience driving it) while the base/touring has a tad bit of understeer(not much but enough for me to notice it)

sure ride is rough but seriously who buys a car like this and expects it to be soft and quite

we tried to but there was a CHP hiding lol

well, the only thing i will say is the clutch feel of being too soft is easily fixable with a slight adjustment and a different spring. night and day

Really? The body kit has way more functionality than a rice rocket would have...

This is why people that compete with the 370z ends up putting the nismo body on it.

EDIT: Chances are that you test drove a nismo with the spring spacers still on too. It probably also felt like it had no springs.

there is no need for a GTR Z(370Z-R??)
the GTM Stage 1 TT kit will make the 370z a GTR killer(stock GTR)

so like a computer built in and AWD?

it wouldnt be a Z if it had AWD now would it?(well a real Z imo) and as far as a built in computer goes, an OBD2 bluetooth adapter and an android tablet installed in the dash with the torque app can cover that....

I test drove both Sport/touring and the Nismo before my purchase and really loved how the Nismo handled. There is a big difference. Nismo was tighter hands down. Clutch feel was the same. The Nismo body lines were 100% better. I disagree with JungleZ calling it rice. The deal breaker for me was no nav and leather option (which by the way is offered outside the US).
Try test driving with another dealership. At universal city Nissan the guys can take you to a canyon about a mile from the dealership. There are nice curves up there.

Ugh, no. Upgraded transmission (something similar to what the GTR has but rwd), differential, suspension etc. Basically all the stuff you need to support a high horse power build (on the track) but designed as a single package. Heck you could throw in the fancy computer but keep the car rwd, might be cool.

i dont get whats wrong with the 370z's manual transmission? if you are talking about the auto Z then yes i agree because torque converters suck and suspension wise i think the nismo 370z has the same handling as the GTR(only difference being the GTR is faster through corners cause of AWD)
but the diff, brakes, cooling, ect. will all have to be upgraded

anyhow though the nismo 370z is just a beast and if you are not looking for luxuries and want performance, i would get the nismo, if you are looking for luxuries like sat nav, heated seats, leather, ect. the touring/sport is the best way to go, but either way you cant go wrong when purchasing a Z

Surprised so many people feel the SRM is rough, I love it, rarely turn it off. Its probably the reason I engine break lol. The downshifts are butter. Its really good for time attack as well..

Z clutch definitely takes some learning, but once you get it, its fine. More challenging to manipulate than other cars...it can make you feel like a newbie until you get it.
