You play different auto-orgasm games to have car fun. Usually in the camaro its done at a red light or on the highway (60-150mph etc). You have to find new and more interesting games in a lighter, better sport-suspension tuned car like the Z. A game I love to play is... How fast can I take a 90 degree turn. Another game is, how fast can i exit off this clear highway donut. I never race, just compare my own stats too past ones. Also, you get some good jolt in the Z if you change your gears between 5500-6500 rpm'sish. with a combination of being aggressive on the pedal. It'll feel pretty fast with a penalty of about 16-17mpg's lol. |

I had the G35 which pretty much had the same engine. I felt the engine bog down in that car as well... Maybe the Z is a little bit worse but both vq35 and vq37 seem to be boggy imho.

Its past midnight, 65 degrees fahrenheit. Enter an on-ramp to the freeway, place gear in 3rd. Press on pedal.
![]() But in all honesty, driving the car in So-Cal stinks! You always see the temp gauge hovering at 220~240. The lack of instant response and a bogged down engine really gets to me, any solutions to get engine temp down?

For better throttle response you need a tune (removes throttle delay) along with a less restrictive intake. I would also remove the cats (if you can get away with it where you live).
