The onboard computer is now showing 18.3 after about 1,300 miles of 70% city/30% highway.
Their tests are basically done with no factors. No hills, no wind resistance, and no tire resistance. Basically they drive it on a Dyno and those are their numbers. If you live in a hilly area, your gas mileage will be lower then us that live in flat areas. This also has to do with lack of torque and needing to rev a little more since the cars stutter a bit under 2500 so its hard to granny shift as it is lol.
