Why can't very capeable people do what Ford can ....

You aren't going to see a 3000 lb sports car again with today's safety requirements and all of the luxury stuff like power windows and seats either.

the reason the seats are not all leather is so that you don't slide around the seats when making hard turns...the GTR has the same thing. It keeps your butt planted.

Can't give up that feeling.

I've driven a 5.0 GT fairly extensively and while it is a great car and the performance can't be denied I'm in a Z today. It really does have something, to me, that the 5.0 doesn't, and for whatever reason I like it, "slowness" be damned.

Can't say I wouldn't like another 100 HP at the crank, though, but not if it's going to up the price by $7,000.

If they make the Nismo like the next IPL G coupe it would be awesome, but I doubt that will happen. 530 hp TT V6

Just as an FYI, the Next IPL coupe is projected to have a price tag >100K if it does get the TT V-6. It will basically be a luxury GTR. THey want it to compete with the likes of the C63 AMG Black edition.

ok my 2 cents. the 370 was introduced with bad timing. by that i mean it came out when the camaro, 5.0 stang challenger all with v8's were coming out or already out. and the 370 got lost or caught up in that bunch......

we all know the 370 looks better than the above cars and rides and handle's better than the above cars....

also imho there's not a car made for 40g or under that's better than a 370
and i'm talking about rear wheel drive 2 seat sports cars.
the 370 is meant for a chosen few, hey we're special people

all that being said and i love my car but if nissian doesn't increase hp to at least
375hp, 400 would be better. i'm on the fence about looking else where.....

can you imagine a new 400z. you would need to go to a track to learn how to drive it. well at least i would..... sorry to ramble.....

I feel the same way Sonic. It was also bad timing because of the economy crashing. Unfortunately for the Z, having 2 seats makes it less practical. This may have caused some potential buyers to switch to other cars that have 4 seats and more space.

Also the GT-R didn't start at $100k. When it came out in 2009 it was sold at $70k MSRP. The reason it shot up is because it outperformed all those cars that were way above it.
