I have a friend who is there now, and i think he enjoyed the days before the event more than the actual race...He was renting Ferrari's and driving around,ect..

It was on his bucket list..He has a way bigger bucket than me...It is a one and done thing for him..

His pictures he sent were just crazy.. The hills , the yachts, the Hotels, the exotic cars..

But the race ? Boring..

Dare I say "You show me how you do 78 laps around Monaco, half of them on tyres that should have been changed 20 laps ago"?

I would have been into the wall the first lap...:tiphat:

Also I am comparing it to his actual experience for the week..

His days before the race were hard to beat..

He is wealthy and even he felt poor.. The experience was so much more fun for him than the race..that is kinda what I meant..Not that the driver's aren't great, they are..:tiphat:

the headrest mount is pretty good, as expected, there was some minor vibration from the seatback. im going to use a strap to pull the seatback to the rear bar and try again tomorrow. :p the sound wasn't too bad using the built-in mic, actually. and wind noise wasn't much of an issue with the window about 1/4 open. :)

Mr.kenchan... :tiphat: Nice to hear the Hero2 works out good for you!!

Luckily, (although not this weekend) Kobash is doing a good job to help dispell the myth of the bad Asian driver with his performances in F1.

Yes sir.. The atmosphere of Monaco was incredible from what he was telling me.. Seemed like that was more fun than the actual Race.

I cannot even imagine being there.. My Bucket is too small for that.. My bucket is building my Pro Touring Track car, Yosemite, Grand canyon.. Not going to Monaco for the F1 race....OMG...:eek:

Oh and I would have to start in the back in an Indy Light car.. I wouldn't want to hold people up.. F1 ? I don't think my Brain can process things that fast...:rofl2::rofl2:

You can give me new tires every five laps and I would still kiss the metal guardrail or stuff it at the hairpin turn...Right where the Fairmont Hotel is.

But I saw your avatar...Enjoy any track time you get.:tiphat::tup:

Same with Mato in the Indy 500...Sure he made a bad move at the end, but he was in position to WIN...So watch out for Asian driver's ..They are not a myth, they are for real..

He just about won it... Kinda wish he would have.. But it is what it is...

He is for real too.

Fire 05-27-2012 05:02 PM

Alcheng I have the smart top and really like it.
For me Luna no passing equals no excitement, sorry.
Just the speed and handling is like a hot lap or qualifying.

My Z/28 is flirting with the 370Z...

They seem to be getting closer in the garage..

I think there is something going on.

The last time I went in the garage, the covers were off the cars and they were naked..

I double covered them ..

My 350 and 370 are always separated by the garage door. I'm sure they're lusting after each other.

:iagree: I agree, if I am one of the crew in the race, this race prolly be the most intense one, because lots of maths involved in the race, and yes, how did the drivers consume the tires thus extended the 15 laps lifespan to 30+ laps cost them lots of skills too.

I was getting exciting too when the team radio exchanging different weather prediction with the drivers every single lap.

However, as a point of view of spectators, I see the drivers were driving cautiously, without knowing is the rain coming in the next lap or not, the strategy was rather on the conservative side.

Vettel was having a 16 secs lead at one point and everyone was amazed by how he maxed out the tires' lifespan with that kind of pace, he showed skills and guts, but it was all ruined by pit stop and the nature of the circuit layout (impossible to pass).

The most exciting moment of the whole 78 laps, I think it's the start, and the moment that Schumacher attempted to pass Raikkonen when the pair came out of the tunnel... :p

Look forward to Canadian!!

m4a1mustang 05-27-2012 05:35 PM

It's been a great F1 season so far. Very unpredictable races. We'll see if we can have a 7th different winner at the next race. :)

I tried the strap to see if I could remove the slight vibration, but it made no difference so I took it off. Now importing file into 960x540 or whatever on iMovie. going to chop it down considerably. :)

Would it be better perhaps if it was mounted to the cross bar behind the seats? Care to share a bid, or are you keeping them to yourself (which is perfectly fine too)?

You bet.. I love this site, and just want to be part of the team.. Just remember what you said about it being a minor problem..It may seem rough at the time, but in all honesty, if you had what I have, you wouldn't be around to see your Son grow up..

I truly am on borrowed time.. That is why you see me doing things big and fast, with the house and my Z/28, ect... I have to..

So we are all pulling for you. Although I am the newbie and can be somewhat of a Pompous A$$ sometimes with certain posters, I am the total opposite with people with kind hearts.

You seem to be one of the kind hearts.. Remember stress can kill. That is what put me on my death bed over 2 years ago..

You have way more to live for...Mini Gale, ect... So stay calm and roll with it.

Nascar is next..But I worry that Jimmy Johnson will just make it boring again..

But Indy was an emotional ride.. R.I.P. Dan Wheldon..A classy guy gone too early.

Thanks again Bucket :tiphat:

No, one is enough. The 40th caught my eye while I was looking at a sweet Titan. I could use the versatility of a truck, but don't want the fuel bill that comes with it.

We went to a local Carmax to have the S2000 appraised this weekend. While waiting we got to look at a bunch of stuff. They had a big Dodge Ram in their showroom... that's a nice truck! I would love to have one but I need a house first. It's huge!

Since building this house, I always seem to need a truck. Landscaping materials, lumber and drywall for finishing the basement, building the big corner shed, fence, furniture, etc. I've spent a fortune on deliveries. I really should have bought a beater truck and sold it when I was done using it.

If I was going to buy a domestic truck, it would be GM hands down. But you're right, that Dodge is a beast!
