Looks what I received in mail today.....
Good Morning Everyone!!!! :tiphat: :tiphat:

hey mr.alcheng, nice shirt!

one other thing i found was that the droid4's mic input was not as loud as my droidx on the receiving end so i need the unit mounted up pretty close to me.

i may just get me a new HU anyway. lol not sure yet, but the AVH4400BH would be a nice upgrade from my 4100 i got like 2yrs ago. ...if i can source just the pioneer BT module to add to my 4100 for cheap, i would consider that route too. so far ive only seen like $175 for the thing. at that price i would rather buy a new Nuvi with BT and mount it in the cubby. i know for sure the 4.3" nuvi fits in there without having to take it off the bracket. i can just shut the cubby door and it will hide completely inside. :)

i paired to the nuvi1490 last night in my Z. from that unit no issue hearing or speaking. :p i dont usually take calls while in my Z, but with this setup and smart profile turning on BT every weekend during the hours i pull out my z, my phone will be paired automatically. :yum:

Yay for you and Mr. Alcheng joining the cause! Now if only we could get in touch with Alchemy. Does anyone have direct contact info?

Looks like Alcheng, Onzedge you and I are on board so far. Let's get a list.

Alchemy Relief Fund:
1) Pint
2) Onzedge
3) Alchemy
4) Happy

No contact info. :(

Guys, lol, i just read your messages and completely appreciate it:tup: Thanks for the help but I do have the money to fix it if I really had to. So I have to miss out on some driving, sucks but oh well. Me being grounded just means more pics of the action for you guys when I get home!

What Im worried about is doing damage to the engine somehow by having this leak. Its quite loud and coming from the header/testpipe gasket. Will it harm anything other than my gas mileage and a little performance?

Again guys thanks for trying to rally around me I truely appreciate it:tup:

Mr.kenchan, I will suggest you might as well go for a AVH4400BH then paired it with your droid4, more simple and thus an upgrade for your G, instead of mounting so many stuff around the dash/console area thus your G will look like the Enterprise :ugh2:

And getting new gadget is always.... :yum: :yum:

Dont envy me, lol. What do you think sir? Can this leak have any negative effects minus gas and performance issues?? Could it lead to engine damage?? Im in need of positive re-enforcement

I think it is more an annoyance than anything that will cause harm.

Others should chime in here as well.

You'll be ok. I just asked a friend that was a mechanic and he said possibly sometime down the road but for the immediate you'll be ok.

+1 you might get a CEL down the road, but i think you're fine. just get it fixed when you can, re-set the cel using a OBD2 scanner.

Trying very hard but, realistically, I don't think it will happen. I'll try just for you sir. :tiphat:

Took the Z out for lunch and got a few looks of jealousy lol. I love that I'm the only 370 out here in the day time.

PM me some financial advice! Seriously, I have no savings and no 401K due to working for such a small company.

I had lots of fun! Love the sound and feel of the exhaust when I'm punching it. Responsibly, of course. :icon17:

At least you get responses that are pleasant! I only ever get the stupid guys who want to race me in POS cars or minivans. Or the haters stare.

kenchan 05-17-2012 01:41 PM

pint- there's really no secret. steady income + less spending = savings!

yah, i have greasy sweaty guys giving me  when im in my Z. :icon14:

kenchan 05-17-2012 01:50 PM

hummm... i should've gotten one of these...2475LT, 2495LMT, 2595LM, 2595LMT, 3490LMT and 3590LMT.

thanks mr.zman!

anyway, i ordered the nuvi2595 (5" bt with lifetime maps) cause it can do weather and traffic via BT (not FM) from my droid4 using smartlink app. :excited: + the ecoroute guages, ofcourse!

i didnt know about this when i ordered the 1490 last week. :shakes head: none of the reviews i read had any comments about smartlink and weather. :ugh2: and found this gps guy blogging about and was like wow, crap, i bought the wrong nuvi. lol :eekdance: :rofl2:

all this time nuvi was able to show dopplar radar on its map and i didnt know about it. wtf... :ugh2:

going to return the 1490 unless i can fit it in the G's cubby. will see...

Hi guys. Sorry for you your gasket issue alchemy. I hope you can get some things in this weekend with a minimum of driving. Try to avoid high RPM's esp. high rpm's and agressive gas on gas off. That is when it will be the loudest and cause exhaust popping.

Nick911sc 05-17-2012 02:51 PM

I was contemplating becoming a premium member to get some 50 HP decals.

Do-et! Car feels so much faster with them on.

Fire 05-17-2012 02:54 PM

I finished my detailing. Took about an hour for each stage but I think it looks better than new. Will snap a couple pics at cruise night tonight and post them. Really feel bad for alchemy an his exhaust issues. I was very worried that something would happen to my car if I ran the Dragon. That is why I'm going to Carlisle and not ZDayZ this year.

Fire 05-17-2012 02:55 PM

Give in to temptation Nick. Take the plunge.
