hey do any of you use the nuvi gps with traffic? how is it? do you get dumb ads popping up and such or no?

Fire 05-04-2012 03:03 PM

nuvi? Nope have tom tom.

DLSTR 05-04-2012 03:04 PM

Superb start to the weekend...

I did drive the Z today....
Early dusk after rush hour
Autobahn 8 East of Stuttgart
Light traffic, cool air @18C, light breeze
Almost full moon rising over the Schwabisch Alb
Ease on to the A-8, oil warming nicely and accelerate
Some fast cars out here heading to Munich
Accelerate more now East bound up to 225kmph(140mph) and follow a new SL

Life is good!

Add a weeks journey to Germany if you havent done so and experience this. Ive been here for years now and its completely amazing to me each time to motor in this manner. Free and with speed sharing the road with like minded and capable cars and drivers.

Time for a nice cocktail and a good movie. It will rain tomorrow. However we certainly drove the Z today!

Wish all of you the best for the weekend of course! :driving:

Fire 05-04-2012 03:06 PM

yah, i currently have a cheepo one from nuvi and i need to update the maps...but it's so cheap that i was thinking of getting a new larger screen one with lifetime maps and traffic... im looking at the 1450LMT.

while im at it, i might just get a new pioneer headunit avh-4400 since i still cant figure out where and how the f- im going to place my folding bike with my kids' bikes in my garage. :shakes head: i might just ditch the bike idea and just get me a folding kick scooter.

m4a1mustang 05-04-2012 03:17 PM

I just got 1450LMT.

Fire 05-04-2012 03:17 PM

Slacker! Wintertime is the best time for hot tubs. It's the only time they are tolerable as far as I'm concerned. :)

Actually if enough people didn't leave the pool then it would be heated eh? LOL We don't get those impossible hot nights in the summer like you do happy. And in the winter you would freeze getting back to the house.

Fire 05-04-2012 03:52 PM

kenchan 05-04-2012 03:53 PM

Happy TGIF all! :hello:

Been off the Board for a while mainly due to the site issues in the morning. I've posted three Gettysburg Address-length posts that got lost in cyber space. You should probably count yourselves lucky. :icon17:

Been super busy at work, but cut out early today (after only 60 hours this week! ) to do a good wash and wax before Zinco de Mayo tomorrow! Got a group meet set-up with some friends, so looking forward to a good time. Mrs. gurney will be making a rare Z meet appearance, so don't be surprised if the Earth stops rotating on its axis for a few hours tomorrow.

Carry on gentlemen and ms. Pintsize! :tiphat:

I drove the Z to HRE, today, dropped off a wheel i nicked up while driving last night getting pinched between a dumb driver that decided to change lanes at the last minute and a curb... so i chose the curb instead of the whole car... just took off the clear coat....

:tiphat: Thank You very much. I am quite happy with this album too, polarized filter, star filter and some post-adjustment on contrast, that's all.

Thinking about doing a night one, but haven't found a proper place yet... :icon17:

dude.. that's sucks... :shakes head: sorry to hear that....

true, lots of dumb drivers on the road, nowadays I always try to leave some space in between or quickly pass them thus less worry while driving alongside them..... :driving:

Hope the repair is quick and easy-on-wallet
