I still don't understand the reasons to get into a pissing
contest with a car that cost 20 grand more than a 370 why don't we compare it with a lamborghini I like the looks of the camaro but not as much as the 370 it's your money and business get what you feel good about one last comment IMHO when comparing apples to apples I'll take the 370 |
My car has Coil overs, sway bars,20in wheels,Gtm stage 1.5 Supercharger w/water-methanol injection and the list goes on,my point is with the price of my car plus all the add ons I still spent less than the ZL1.
And I have the car with 568hp 415tq handles better than I can drive it and looks better too. Definitely wouldn't trade my car for a ZL1. |
Not a fair comparison at all.

I think most of the comparisons were ZL1 vs GT500 which is very fare (well not for the ZL1).

OK my post. sonic $20,000 more is nothing like a Lambo- which BTW the ZL1 ran in less time on the Nuremberg Ring than a few different Lambos which cost about $150,000. Baer you stated my point. You have coil overs and sways that you must set manually to a stiff setting to get all out of it. With the ZL1 you can drive to the track in the touring mode and then flip the switch and hit the twisties. At the track you would either have no back left cause you adjusted everything at home and then drove 90 miles or now you have to jack up the car and do your adjustments. Oh BTW how is your alignment after your adjustments? Did you change your ride height or just softness?? These are not apples to apples, the ZL1 and GT500 are race cars with license plates from the factory. The 370Z's are very competent 2 seat sports cars. I look forward to running alongside of highly modded 370Z's and GT500's at Watkins Glen next year.

the street is not fair. neither is life. that would be like someone on this board going over to a chevy volt forum and asking them if they wanted to go after it at the track or drag strip.......... any sports car that cost 20 grand more than the 370 had better step up or the owner got screwed. |

The ZL1 will def. step up. As for the posting here if you read the thread heading you see that it is a Nismo owner talking about the ZL1. I feel I can post my thoughts based on the fact that I own a modified 370Z and also buying a ZL1. I belong to a Camaro forum and have followed the development and production of the ZL1.

Camaro 5 is ridiculous. They are even more insecure than many of the people here when it comes to talking about other vehicles. Talk about a GT-R and you get banned. :bowrofl:
|
they really remove you from the camaro forum if you give honest opinions that arent 100% camaro fanboy kiss *ss biased bullsh*t? wow what a buncha losers

They really live in a different world over there... it's intense. |
Their big azz pain is that the ZL1 so undershot the GT500. You either need to completely lie about the ZL1 performance or speculate that the ZL1 is faster on the track.

It has less HP It has a gas guzzler tax The only thing 2 that the Zl1 has over the GT500 is its magnetic suspension and IRS. Still on a track it's weight is a huge disadvantage in the curves where ZL1 fans say it will crush the GT500. I'm not sold on that. |
