Enjoy your bad A$$ new ride.....

My Wife wasn't into the Corvette or the Camaro enough for me to buy one..

I wanted her to get what she wanted. If she wanted the ZL_1 or the Z06...It would have happened..

But she loved the 370Z, so here we are..With the wife on cloud nine...

My Camaro has been in the stable for 28 years and before I could buy a newer chevy, I had to fix the "bucket of bolts"

Oh Man is it fixed now... Went from undriveable to unbelievable...

Fire 02-26-2012 10:46 PM

LOL I'd say so :tup::driving:

Fire 02-26-2012 10:52 PM

I'll upload my pics tomorrow happy.:pics:

LOL...apparently half way is not in my vocabulary... I was only overbudget so far by .......well enough.....

Could have left the 15" wheels , rebuilt everything stock, and called it a a day..

I wanted to test the outer reaches of the Old Camaro.. The only reason I did not go 3 or 4 link in the rear, is that I am not an adjustment guy and without a crew, the 3 or 4 link would be over kill..

But the rear set otherwise is the best they have, and the front coil overs are great..

But the rest ??? Haha...just Insane:driving:

The wife just doesn't understand why spend so much money on a car you hardly drive ?? Just had to be done...

Fire 02-26-2012 10:58 PM

I'm with you. I did Eibach springs and not coilovers for the same reason.

Fire 02-26-2012 11:00 PM

One of the main reasons I'm trading in the Z for the ZL1 is that I want to track my car and you cannot track a vert without an aftermarket rollbar.:shakes head:

Plus the ZL-1 is track ready in every way...

Good choice..Well I gotta go..TTYL, and I am glad to meet you...I am also known as Bucketlist2011 on modern camaro.. I am at that stage of life where the Things done are bigger due to me checking off the list..Finishing the life long Z/28 was number one...Next winter after the interior, the mission will be complete. Travel and track time are big on the list too...

Fire 02-26-2012 11:09 PM

I'm on modern camaro also firecross91 See ya later. Peace out also,

God I hate Buffers...

I have to go in a week from now for the Paint treatment, and i wish they would hand buff it side to side and NO machines...

I have detailed Black paint for decades, and I only move headlight to door, side to side..

No Mr. Miyagi, wax on, wax off...Unless you want swirls...

But I as a Dork and Anal about my Cars.

SPOHN 02-27-2012 10:11 AM

Went to the body shop I now deal with to get a quote on my hood vents I'm going to install. For the first time ever the quote was less than what I was thinking it was worth. Can't wait.

kenchan 02-27-2012 10:13 AM

Thanks Bud...Glad to be here..

Let's see what this week will bring..

Last week it brought me a 370Z..

After the Wife comes home crushed that she saw the car of her dreams, " so sexy", but sadly it was a Manual.. I look on line, yep manual...We move on..Later that night i check the sellers notes.....7 speed auto....Start crunching numbers, and checking values on trade and purchase and the next day....370Z...Yep, she thinks I am a God...First to find out the automatic part, and two for attacking the dealership prepared like a navy seal.

Nick911sc 02-27-2012 01:20 PM

haha, I'm not taking my Z on the hunting trip. I would cry the entire time.

More concerned about the weather while I'm actually on foot.

haha, older guys will probably end up at the wrong site. :icon17:

Drove the Z to tennis last night. 0c but dry, the OEM tires are hard like rock, but what the heck. lol

I found the K&N is not making much noise, but a smoother pull from 2.5k to 4.5k rpm with a light breathing note from the engine, good enough for me.

I'm reluctant to drive my Z to participate in sports. I'm afraid my cloth seats will get all nasty from the salt in my sweat.

kenchan 02-27-2012 03:15 PM
