Just dry-cleaned the Z, put some wax on, now waiting it to dry.

Bought this tonight, tried it on the tires, seems pretty good, have to see how long it'll last.

The Z and me polished/cleaned up a band saw today as we looked out at the rain and said .... Why ????

At least we had some good tunes as the parrots were in great singing form today.

Hey guys , happy Sunday. :hello:
Chops I would recommend that if you get any rodents in your garage you put drier sheets under the hood, in the drivers compartment, in the trunk and a few on the floor under the car. Make sure the car is very clean and put on a car cover. Use a battery tender and top off you gas tank with Sta-Bil in it. Make sure you run the car for at least 15 minutes after putting in sta-bil so that it is in the injectors. :ugh2:

I read posted in a Camaro forum that the issue with the ZL1 is the power steering pump. This is supposed to be "inside info" posted by one of the forum moderators.

Good morning guys! :hello:

Back is back in tip-top condition today! :woot: I'm outside enjoying the cool morning, which are likely to become too hot soon to want to be anywhere near.

Thinking about hitting the beach today.

Good to hear about your back. I actually had an epidural injection for mine on Friday for a herniated disc. Back pain is the worst. :tiphat:

I am, thanks. Back injections are a piece of cake. I was back on my feet ~2 hours after the procedure. It's the closest you can get to surgery without being cut open.

LOL, that's the after picture, it doesn't look shiny because the lighting of the garage. Here's another one I took under the sun, not the best shot but it def looks shiny in real.

I like it much better than the spray-foam.

Mr.Alchemy, sorry to hear that, but think about you got a job that makes you fricking busy.... and you make some $$$, not too bad, eh?? ;) ;)

Good afternoon Mr.kenchan, thank you for your comments on the tires polish, I like the product so far, have to see how it holds on the tire.

Hello Mr.onzedge, Mr.dAvenue, Agent-Fire(man) and EVERYONE!!!

SPOHN 03-25-2012 04:23 PM

Just took my hood off my car. Taking it to the body shop to have my hood vents install.

ZMan8 03-25-2012 04:30 PM

Had a nice meet with local 370Z's today. Good weather/good times.

ZMan8 03-25-2012 04:31 PM

O and hope everyone has a nice sunday!

GaleForce 03-25-2012 05:00 PM

Went for a quick drive to check the swaybars. It was only 13°c today so I couldn't get on it too hard. My tires are too slick at that temp. What I did notice was an overall tightness (for lack of a better word), initial turn in was quicker (response). I'll have to wait for the temps to get back up before I really give them a test.

My suspension set-up,
  • Stock wheels/tires
  • Swift springs
  • Whiteline front swaybar - soft setting
  • Whiteline rear swaybar with endlinks - middle setting
  • Alignment - custom spec (not factory numbers)

Nice setup. You may want to think about stiffer sway bar settings in front than rear -- quicker turn-in and less oversteer results. I hope this makes sense. It has been a long day of writing for me and I am a bit punchy.

:iagree: on the stiffer swaybar setting on the front. especially for lowered cars that are already starting at near outside of suspension geometry.

no z action today, mr. onzedge? i can understand with rain.. hope it clears up for you soon.

kenchan 03-25-2012 06:25 PM

Thanks guys. I'll run like this for a week or two, then I'll try moving the rear to the soft setting, try that for a couple of weeks. I have all summer to play

christian370z 03-25-2012 08:04 PM

Wanted to wash the Z badly but it's pretty stormy today... I'll wash it tomorrow after class I guess! On a side note, thank god I used a rental Ford Escape today, I would have not made it home in the Z with all the flooding on the 10 and PCH.

ZMan8 03-25-2012 08:49 PM

Hey Mr. Kenchan and anybody else interested, you can check out the additional pics posted by osbornsm of our first Cars & Coffee Chicago. just go to last page of the thread in my sig.
