Passenger window will not drop down enough when door is opened. It started after the oil cooler install.....odd. One, that I do not recall the battery terminals disconnected and two, since the passenger window was down before the install. Don't recall having to reset the clock on the dash, so that rules out the battery terminal being disconnected. At any rate the normal reset did not work. The door panel will have to be taken apart and hopefully the dealer can reset it on the window motor or whatever they called it. If not a new window motor will be ordered. Luckily they stock them because they have seen more than a few come in with the same issue. I would have thought Nissan would have got it right after the 350Z issue. Guess not, just like the rear hatch springs.

At about midnight I was finished. It could have gone a lot faster but I stopped for dinner, and was doing it solo for the first time. All in all now that I have done it once it would not take nearly as long to do it a second time. The instructions provided by Z1 are pretty good. Sorry for the crappy pics. One of the items that I was scouting on my domestic excursion was a new camera. No choice made but I got my eye on the Canon Powershot S100 that recently came out.

Sounds like it's the busiest day of the week for you bro! LOL

Do you already have the370z.com stickers on that little side window? If not, perhaps snug the Z1 sticker in teh corner of each one. Are they vinyl?

Happy Sunday my fellow Z lovers. Hope everyone is making the most out of their days and if the weather permits getting some time behind the wheel of there Z or whatever vehicle they happen to enjoy driving. Mr. Happy below is the link to my review on the Z1 Post MAF tubes when i recieve my K&N drop-ins I will update it again.

i was thinking about no-rinsing my G but light snow expected this week so putting off until next weekend when Sat is suppose to hit 40F+ :p i still prefer bucket wash if at all possible over no-rinse. :)

That's the trickiest decision in Winter, To Wash or Not To Wash....

Like kenchan, I prefer the bucket wash too, or go to coin wash(in Winter).

Can't wait to wash and wax the Z on the driveway again in Summer!!

mrcoolguyface 02-12-2012 03:43 PM

I never wash any of my vehicles in winter... And I've never seen any damage doing this. To each their own though, I suppose.

Fow now I left the undertray off so that I can drive it around for a few days to double check on leaks easily. The test in the garage was leak free but I want be sure before I put that tray back on.

Also prior to wrapping everything up last night I sprayed PB blaster on my Cat bolts with the plan of installing my Motordyne ART pipes today. :ughdance:

Nice install, I've been eyeing the S95, was hoping the price would drop after the S100 came out but it went up after X-mas and keeps getting higher on amazon  It was $299 before x-mas and now I can't get myself to pay any more for it :rofl2:

 good to hear he's doing well ...I feel his pain, haven't been able to normally drive my Z since spraining my clutch ankle a week ago. Just came back from a drive and it's throbbing :icon14:

I don't deal with snow but when the rains come I end up washing a couple times a week at the coin wash. I usually start twitching after the rain leaves water spots on the Z so as soon as it clears up I drive straight to the coin wash. I've learned that as long as the car is waxed well a touchless wash with the low pressure soap, high pressure soap, high pressure rinse, low pressure rinse cleans it up really well and only takes about 10 minutes.

In my new place we're renting, we do have a hose here so I don't have to use no-rinse anymore. It's not the rinsing that's the problem, it's being outside for more than 5 minutes :)

sounds good. our weather is sub freezing still so can't use my hose to wash on my driveway. 25F was our high, low is about 15F tonight. inside my garage is about 40F today and can use no-rinse but didnt feel like it. it's too much work when the car is really dirty with salt and grit caked on. :ugh2:

TMAN1985 installed his Berk HFC'S on Friday and I recommended PB blaster the night before. The bolts came off extremely easy the next morning. Bolts look like new.

Yeah I used PB blaster the night before and most of them came off pretty easy. That last one though was stuborn. I have been on an extended break from the install cooking and eating dinner. Mesquite smoked tri-tip was my controbution and the roommate made risotto and ceasar salad. Not sure if mixing italian and BBQ is the koser but it was good. Roomates girlfriend made chocolate covered strawberrys for desert. Now I am in food coma and not sure if the install portion of the job will happen tonight or tomorrow after work.

Question on the ART pipes for those that have done this. What is the best method to get the round metal crush gasket to stay inplace and seal between the headers and the ART pipes? I was planning on using some high temp gasket tube.

LakeShow 02-13-2012 12:26 AM

Was a clear day for the most part and really cold and windy. So I'm driving my Z and all the sudden and not even on the forecast, a good amount of snow came down limiting visibility and made roads slippery....back end came out one time but no one was on the road and I was going slow.
