How would you feel if your Toyota ran away into an intersection? You would say the same crap. But your massive sample size of 5 didn't include that experience, so you think they are perfect or something. When you can find pph to back up your claim about Nissan 370z vs. Toyota, ill be satisfied. Until then, I'm sorry, Toyota kindof sucks. When I worked for Ford in '05 we were already rated higher in quality. Toyota is just boring and their quality isn't what you think it is. I'm not defending Nissan, I just think your faith in Toyota is not justified.
Please, keep on going. It is quite entertaining.

If a no start on a z bothers u, never go out and buy a ferrari, or lambo ar anything of that nature....

every car has its thing. maybe u got lucky with the yotas, but some people havent been so lucky. dont let this one issue scare u away from a company forever. that wouldnt make any logical sense..

Still doesn't hold a candle to someone saying a brand is crap because their car wouldn't start and needed a couple of minor parts replaced and a tow. You don't have any real information to share, just wanted to whine. I understand, it can be frustrating.

I feel like I have been had by Nissan....They aren't even close to the quality of Toyotas. Oh, and this is the second time this has happened...

Are you proud of your product Nissan?

I may be guilty of having high standards or expectations, but I don't think you would like being in my shoes at that moment.

At the dealership I did speak to the assistant general manager and during the conversation he mentioned that Toyotas have a high amount of recalls. My reply was that Nissan should follow suit and have pride in their product and more importantly attempt to REALLY fix issues.

To their credit the dealership is very responsive and treated me right. But it is the same concept to me when you get the wrong order at McDonald's...."Dude...it is your only job to get the order right". Likewise, a car's purpose is to GO...and even more so with a high-performance version. And it has let me down twice.

I guess I am the only one that considers my time valuable.

Sorry if I have offended anyone, but I can't help but feel embarrassed that I thought Nissan would be of the same quality as Toyota. That's on me.

I smell double standard.

My family (extended included) have owned a Murana, about 4 Maximas, 2 Altimas, 2 280zx's, a 50th Anniversery 300zx, an old red pickup truck (no idea on model name) and my 240sx and 370z. Most of mileage on these vehicles was over 130k before we got rid of them. My 240sx has 235k on it.

The extent of issues we have had on these vehicles is the 300zx does not run smoothly because my uncle neglects it and the 240sx needs a new transmission after 200k miles.

We also have a Honda Accord that has gone through 3 transmissions before the 135k mark. Kind of crazy if you ask me, but it doesn't mean the whole company is trash.

All makes have their lemons, just means you need to add some sugar and make lemonaide!!!

I do have to say that even with my beloved Zeda being winched onto the flatbed, it still looks sweet!

The people jumping on the OP have probably never had this happen to them before. It's not a good feeling, especially if it happens twice. Getting stranded sucks and it makes it difficult to trust your car especially if it's due to something like an electrical gremlin.

I'd cut the guy some slack. It's very easy to get emotionally hot when you have to deal with a situation like this.

I hope the car gets fixed and you can get back to enjoying your Z without any more problems.

If only the forum as a whole could be more supportive instead of defensive.

I prefer to think of myself as "experienced", not old.

Also, I may be 51 and old, but I refuse to grow up. Ask anyone. When maturity comes knocking on my door, I pretend I am not at home.

Agreed, like I said I think my next car will be a GTR. I am suprised and pleased by how well my Zeda does in the snow and ice with Blizzaks (I thought I was going to have to buy another Tacoma) so I can only imagine how fun a GTR would be in any weather.

Been there, done that, multiple times. It's frustrating for sure, but unless if was something more serious I never wrote the brand off. Hence I bought a vette even though my fbody had tons of crap go wrong, almost killing me(randomly died on the freeway, once right in front of an 18wheeler), stranding me, etc.
and hence I'm getting a 370z even though my g20 has been junk.
