And nope, I'm not a chemist with a focus on petroleum refining. But I do have a chemistry and engineering background.

So exactly what hardball do you want to play? Even Nissan does not require the use of synthetic oil - go read the Z's Owner's Manual and see for yourself. Or does Nissan not know what they're doing?
