Default so....

My question is.....

If you have no interest in modding, why are you on this forum?

Aside from the camaraderie, the only useful purpose of forum creeping is to find out how to do this or that, or what to do next and has it already been done or how do I fix this issue etc.

Non-modders or non-DIY'ers would normally be talking to their service department...

just my

1. Learning about potential issues

2. Might find out about a mod I actually want to do (I did get a catback)

3. Learning about things that have been discussed at length already, like which oil to use

4. Seeing other peoples' modded cars. I appreciate mods, my BMW had engine mods/suspension/body kit/stereo/etc. I just don't want to live with the headaches of install issues, fit/finish issues, decreased comfort, etc. anymore for a daily driver.

I guess I'm not firmly in the "no mods" camp, rather, for now I just have the catback and I'm not interested in anything else at this time. I might do carbon fiber interior bits and stereo stuff later, but I certainly won't ever touch the wheels/suspension and likely not the engine bay either.

I'm buying a Ducati Diavel Carbon next month and I have a 911 Turbo. The Z is just a workday car for me, because I didn't want the maintenance and repair costs of an M3 nor did I want something like that sitting in courthouse parking lots while I'm working.

So what you're saying is, "I'm modded".

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that 99.99% of the members on any kind of forum are "enthusiasts" of the forum's subject. The other .01% are spammers.
Even if a non-enthusiast needed to know about issues with their vehicle, they could go to the manufacturer's website or check the NHSTA database and skip the hassle of joining a community of enthusiasts.
With the exception of restoring a "numbers matching" car for Barrett-Jackson, I don't know any enthusiast who can resist putting their own personal touch on their car.

Here's an idea: Create a sub-forum for Stock 370Z's where non-mod owners can unite.

Then, those of with mods can start a pool on how many threads there will be in that section.
Additionally, mods (I mean moderators) can ban anyone who posts about window tint or synthetic oil.

Dr. Evil, what does the roof spoiler do? First one I've seen on a Z. Just curious.

Looks good. I didn't know if it also helped cut down on sun and glare until I read the description.

Um... looks real cool. I guess it keeps the car cooler in the Jersey February cold.

Did you replace the original knob with a stock OEM shift knob?

Does removing the 4th cup holder on day one count as a mod?
