I hit the 8k mile mark

TheGreatOne 03-17-2011 11:46 AM

I installed the EVO-R Carbon Fiber fangs, looks great on the 40th

Super snug but I need more 3m tape, its not sitting flush, sticking out a bit. Will takes pics once more flush, definitely have to fix it because I won't drive without it off now, trying to fit it has scratched up the paint nicely lol.

kenchan 03-17-2011 12:40 PM

yah, evo-r's fangs are known to do that, unfortunately. :(

Fire 03-17-2011 07:37 PM

Installed my Stillen front splitter and canards; EVO-R side skirts (blades) and rear diffuser. Only took me about 3 hours. Not bad for a body work virgin and my not so mechanically inclined father. I'd still rather change a motor than do body work.:ugh2: Oh and took a short drive:ughdance: Pics in next post.

Highway 03-17-2011 07:45 PM

Drove it topless for the first time ever and did my first wash afterwards.

LunaZ 03-17-2011 08:26 PM

Ended my hibernation, officially.

Nismo_Q 03-17-2011 08:40 PM

Installed a safe for my glock.

What's wrong with the glove box or the little compartment behind the passenger seat?

LunaZ 03-17-2011 09:14 PM

I can live without the canards.

Fire 03-17-2011 09:24 PM

I'm hoping the canards will help for track days. That and a SC. Plus I like to be different and don't see them often, even here. To each his own, eh?:ugh2:

1slow370 03-18-2011 05:32 AM

stared at a massive pile of things that were once on the car, then thought damn i have to put all of that back on.

Corona370z 03-18-2011 07:48 AM

My Z finally arrived to Germany. Went and picked it up and now I'm just waiting for the day to end!

Tree-hugging CA legislators requires that any firearm must be unloaded locked or carry openly in vehicle. Safest and best way is to lock it up from LEOs and thieves.

kenchan 03-18-2011 01:11 PM

Fire- are those canards CF? if not, maybe paint them red to make them less obvious? looks very functional though.

this am i only had a few sec to take a quick look at my Z when i pulled out my G to work... :D
i am so frikken HAPPY when i dont have to drive my pos Honda Fit to work. :p

That is why God invented holsters.

Fire 03-18-2011 02:12 PM

They are not CF. Nothing on my car is other than the stubby antenna which will get painted flat black also. I like the red/black contrast and how they break up the large front of the car.

kenchan 03-18-2011 02:14 PM

^^ oh i see. sounds good! :D

kenchan 03-20-2011 10:01 AM

Motored my Z yesterday, going to clean her wheels today. :D

Why did your CLEO* deny you a CCW (Concealed carry permit)? Does your safe help you in CA, if you can get to it while driving? Granted they need a search warrant to look inside.

CCW permits are extremely difficult to get in CA -- except in some rural areas.

Yah, I know how you feel. But in my case I double park in a corner of the lot directly in front of my office so I don't need to worry about other employees. But I do worry about bombers. :D

I don't take my car to the stores or restaurants though.. my dd does all the dirty work. :D

98intrigue 03-20-2011 12:28 PM

I bought some DW 600cc injectors and GoPro HD camera for ZDayz...currently on the hunt for many more accessories.

SPOHN 03-20-2011 01:08 PM

Putting some moles on my baby today

Nismo221 03-20-2011 01:59 PM

well did it yesterday ..... had Stillen Gen 3, Z1 25 row oil cooler, wheel spacers 15mm front and 20mm back, Z1 test pipes, Greddy Ti-C 70mm dual exhaust, and several silicone hoses installed!

Here is a video of the way it sounds...

pL4tiNumfi5t 03-20-2011 04:27 PM

This happened last night, but I installed the ThirdGearPerformance Stage II LED package. Overall quite pleased

kenchan 03-20-2011 05:07 PM

Is that a mod (sounds serious "stage2") or just lights up like a big xmas tree? :icon17:

Skeeterbop 03-20-2011 06:48 PM

Picked up my car on Friday and have put almost 350 miles on it so far.

kenchan 03-20-2011 06:57 PM

is this your car? :icon14:

kenchan 03-20-2011 10:34 PM

Was getting real fed up with the weatherhannel app in my Droidx so uninstalled it, got Weatherbug app. Wow, 10x better! I don't like getting my car dirty so I check radar often and also hourly weather. Obviously you have this on weatherbug, but there is so much more useful info like real time humidity, dew point, wind direction with a compass, fast radar load times, etc etc. and the layout/personal settings is very good. A must have for detailers. :)

wilsonp 03-20-2011 11:25 PM

Installed cabin air filter in my 2009 :)

Haha, just a fancy name for LED interior and license plate lighting. A super white glow cleans up the yellowish look.
