I was going to also, but i'm not sure 3x the money is worth the possible 5-10 more HP. with the savings a tune can be done...

Is yours otherwise stock with respect to intake and cats? What size resonators do you have? Last question: do you have any exterior clips of a drive by where your not pushing 5k rpm?

I have to ask: why is it that when everyone posts clips of a drive by or pull away they have to "launch" and scream by at 5k+ rpm? While that's nice to hear from time to time..it gets old..quick. I'm more interested in hearing an exhaust under normal driving conditions.

Ok, I'll get off my soapbox now.:ugh2:

I used Meguiar's Ultimate Quick Detail to remove some water spots that were being baked by the Texas sun. Nothing else to report...

Good call. I'm going to the store tomorrow to get this and tire shine.

Went to a mini car meet, and posed with Steve's (srbrubak) blue Z, then checked out some other cool cars including a Hennesey Camaro and a Kennebell blown SRT8.

eerrr... i must get DSLR. :D nice picts, G2Z!

nynhex- good job taking off spots. spots can potentially lead to paint etching. :icon14: so best to remove asap. :)

happytheman- i agree. not sure why they need to go down a 35mph road at 60mph+ to show off some fake exhaust...which doesnt even sound that good cause of the silencers the installer forgot to remove. :D hahaha yah, you know which clip im talking about. :p ;)

It probably doesn't help the first time he drove with me was on the way out to a ski/board trip and i had my truck sliding around with a cliff on one side and a rockface on the other. But the funny thing is he would rather i drive my old truck then my car, it will be funny when the engine swap is done in my old truck as it should be able to kill my Z, but i don't think he understands that yet. LOL

Thanks Kenchan. Yes I have been, and still SO MUCH I want to do. I'll post pictures of the b-pillars when they're done in that CF wrap. And for sure I'll get the FI CBE. A friend of mine has it here in Vegas. Sounds awesome. I wonder what difference the various sizes of resonators makes though...

Also, I now have 1213 miles on Zena.... WOOHOOOOOO.... I finally rev'd it to about 7k rpm last night. Still didn't get to redline yet, but I don't think I need to :)

Zena stays covered in the garage today.... strong storms in the area :icon14:

kenchan 06-02-2011 08:37 AM

Tanooki- check out the DiNoc thread in the interior/exterior section. I posted quite a bit in there. :p

I was up late last night and was rewarded with an obstruction free drive home. What a great car we all have here.

A guy complimented me on my 370 "zed". I said "Thanks, are you from Canada?" since I detected no accent.

His answer : "Top Gear". Can't complain he isn't speaking English. :icon17:

Talked to a local vinyl installer about doing a full matte black wrap. Waiting on a quote (OUCH)

Question.... are you guys merely changing out the stock springs? then still plan to continue to use stock suspension?

Please post pics when done!

Tell me about it, Im at almost a 2 month wait on mine. At this point its a race to see who is slower getting me my parts, Forgestar or Swift. Wish I ordered this stuff during the winter when I wasnt driving it, stupid me.

Yup, pretty much stock otherwise.

I have 18" resonators...I got to drive behind my car which people rarely get to do, car sounded much quieter than I anticipated.

I am maybe doing a sound clip this weekend, I'll be sure to hit you up. I will say it sounds nice and tame with 18" resonators, amplifies the VQ and downshifting is where I feel the quality really shines

Yes just changing the stock springs. The Swift springs are designed around our stock suspension. Everyone loves em!!

Well of course, no denying that. I give Swift tons of credit even though I have yet to acquire and install mine (backorder). I have not heard any complaints about these springs. Rave reviews from everybody. Some say best bang per buck mod u can do. If your keeping your car strictly on the street & not the track there is no need for anything more IMO. Although I cant deny Id rather have some KWs :)

Super Tanooki 06-02-2011 05:25 PM

Got my Stillen 24r OC today! Whoop whoop! :happydance:

http://www.the370z.com/members/super...oc-finally.jpg

Now to figure out if I can install this bad boy myself. The instructions included are for a G which, no matter how similar the cars are, is a little unsettling for a newbie like myself. And I've seen a few really good DIY threads but they either install it in front of the steering cooler (I want it the other side) and/or they cut holes into a metal plate through which to pass the lines, but I don't want to do that if it's not necessary. Which it isn't - I know two guys in Vegas who have this kit and never cut anything.

So I need a driver's side install DIY with no cutting on this kit. Is there one I've missed?
