i was like ha? why do you need my garage door open? guy was like so that his boyz haz room to smooth out the cement, yo. i was like WTF yo, use your longer pole to reach the center, im not opening my garage for them to be swinging around their concrete squeegees on a stick or watever it's called 10inches away from my G and Z. and i know those guys would be smearing their hands and arms on my cars while the mixer poured the concrete. and checking out my girls (no not man boobs, i mean my cars :icon17:)... wtf.

so i told him nicely "guys, i got 2 sports cars in here..." and their leader was like 'oh ok. no issue then.' :icon14:  (please dont confuse the kenchan)

so off they went. looks pretty good. need to let it cure for 4 days. :p

Way to stick it to the man! Fight the power!:happydance:

EazyD 05-13-2011 02:01 PM

Drove behind another Z (350) for the first time ever while I was in my 370. It was exciting until he turned lol. It's just so rare in this area to have a Z. [good thing]

edit: Also got a California Duster. it's great for pollen!! Just use the very ends of the brush and gravity to do the dusting. They're only like $10 and come in a nice pouch

yep! make sure you let it sit on some old newspaper for a couple of days to rid the excess paffrin in there. otherwise it smears on glass. :)

Hopefully my last day driving this godforsaken rental. My Z should be back from the body shop tomorrow.

Ordered a SS spoiler in black to add to some of the two-tone paint I'm doing.

Shopping for a Nismo TI shift knob for a better feel. Also researching short shifters if anyone has ideas.

Hopefully will have time to get my tint done before going to the meet tomorrow here in Houston.

I am quite happy with the B&M.

Thanks, I had a B&M in my 350z and it never shifted properly. Real knotchy and didn't feel natural at all. Has the designed improved since 07? lol

It probably had more to do with the transmission than the shifter. Mine feels just fine and an improvement over stock.

UNKNOWN_370 05-13-2011 05:39 PM

I haven't done anything today but I'm going to. "Wildout" in it tonight. :driving:

Good point, the 350z transmission chattered and was pretty rough to shift. The 370z seems a bit smoother, apparently design improvements have been made.

kenchan 05-13-2011 06:39 PM

Nice~! :yum:

kenchan 05-13-2011 06:40 PM

I failed my first attempt to remove stock knob...actually the strap wrench broke. :D hahahaha

Red__Zed 05-13-2011 06:41 PM

Switched to a less aggressive alignment. -3.1 rear camber handles great, but the tires don't like it.

kenchan 05-13-2011 06:45 PM

Wat are u running now, red_zed?

Drex 05-13-2011 06:58 PM

saw some kids playing ball around my z, then noticed one of them had put his jacket on the hatch.

thought about peeling out with the jacket still there, but just went out and asked them nicely who's it was and that i was going to hang it up on the railing 2 ft away. i dont want them to come back later and **** with the z.

Still perfecting. Went to zero toe up front, might go back to toe out. Thinking about going really aggressive for the dragon.

Now at 1.5 camber front, 2.6 rear. Need to pick up some front camber arms to get more adjustability up front.

Dude, come on now. I got mine off by hand -- even though I had tools at the ready. Must be all of that right hand/knob grabbing practice I have had in my life. It finally paid off!!!! I knew it would.

Dude... how the heck did you break that strap wrench? Dang... yours was on a LOT tighter? So what was the fate of your stock knob? Still in good shape?

Nice pic of the install. Looks great in there. How does it feel?

Drove to and from work with a modified "clutch helper spring". This is the way the stock clutch should have been...

I just finished dialing in my alignment specs. I highly recommend anyone who drives their Z through the twisties dial out the toe-in recommend by Nissan. It really wakes the car up to run no toe-in, and even more so if you run toe out.

STOCKER :ugh2:

Yea when it happened and I was in need of a new panel since indention were visible and scratches but still haven't replaced since I am waiting until either interior is finished or a show to take the z too... then ill pay 400 lol and first thing i do is throw away the insert lol and use my carbon fiber one.

I am hoping to find somebody that is going to paint the interior " i know i know" but maybe they will take mine and some cash since the body shop is going to destroy theirs... BTW: I look at every single time I drive the car. :shakes head:

nothing special!

as for what else i did with my Z today...i surprisingly set off a few car alarms in an uber busy parking structure. then went to watch fast5. came out and felt like a total ricer getting into my car. :driving: good movie though!

kenchan 05-14-2011 07:29 AM

Thanks onzedge! :D

G2Z- yah mine was literally seized tight. :icon17: so far im loving the new knob.
I wont be able to take a spin until next weekend though... letting my driveway cure. :p
