Well.... Tonight, I finally opened a package that's been on display for almost a month. I ordered this a month ago, and I've had it for almost that long... but just never got to open it and play with it. I finally did tonight. I am a geek, what can I say. I think the RC yellow Z handles as well as Zena ;) I really like how the paint is also pearlescent, just like my pearl white. hehe.

Nice collection G2Z! :D

Got it ready for tomorrow, my first autox event of this season!
|
I took my 370 out to the Volvo Club of America autocross event at Mather Field -- just to watch. Friggin amazing, some of these built Volvos. Who would have thought? Lowered and tuned Volvo Station Wagons with Sparco seats. Wow.
Both of my sons drove their cars -- a 1983 Volvo 244 and a 280zx turbo. Here is a clip of the 280zx run. 2 cones lost their lives. YouTube - 280ZX Turbo at VCOA Autocross May 14th And a few shots: http://a5.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot...0_302623_n.jpg http://a8.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot..._1771581_n.jpg |

As for the breather hose, do you mean the passenger side or the driver side? The chamber that fits on the passenger side HPS tube was definitely not a great fit. I'm not sure if having it floating (since it doesn't attach to the M370) helps things or hurts. |

Had my alignmernt done the other day after a mounting a fresh new set of RE-11 and Swift spings that replaced the Eibachs.
Did not like the rear set up at -1.6 with the fronts being -1.2 & -1.7. Also wanted to see about getting toe in a better ranger. New alignment is at Fr -1.3 & -1.7 and toe at 0.6 & 0.9 Rears at -1.1 & -1.0 and toe 0.4 & 1.5 Much better and will see in 500 miles how they tires wearing. Then may try for front toe to be at 0.0 and rear toe at 0.02. The rear really woke up bringing in back down to -1.0. Have not really wrung it out yet with this setup. Will see next Sat on the run. |

You did primer the caps before you sprayed? |
Well... let's see...
Yesterday, I took the wife to see Bridesmaids, and we enjoyed a nice spirited run before the movie. I also stared at Zena's nose while installing 5 shelves in our garage... more storage space for NON-Griots detailing supplies (jab at you Ken ;)). Today, I drove her to work, then dropped her off to get headlights and door handles clear-bra'd. And also the rear valence wrapped in 3M DiNoc. :D |

cant say that about a lot of shops ... a lot of smaller shops still relying on manual input for online sales receipts and tracking info. and you ask them for tracking number more than a few time due to their tardiness, suddenly their smiles turns to frowns and they make it sound like you're being impatient. :ugh2: wtf this day in age, OL shopping should be 100% automated and only need human support when you ask for it. :) |
wife mentioned my big box came in this am. Ings+ CF splitter. :p
|
today i towed her to the shop after her tranny blew. This is 5 days after her rims got stolen

Also, where did you get and how much? simple install? Oh and is it REAL cf? |
i wonder how that would look in blue with the fangs blacked out
|
Quote:
the splitter is small enough i dont need to do the sides. :p not sure how much lower it is vs the stock sport front diffuser yet, but i dont think it's any lower which is a big plus for me. here's where i first saw this lip installed... http://www.the370z.com/exterior-inte...ip-carbon.html |

ok that looks really nice. Although I am concerned about scraping that... I don't know if I could ever relax knowing that I have 675 bucks worth of a splitter perhaps scraping whenever I get on my driveway :( I've already scraped the stock front diffuser on the road :( also what did you mean by this? "the splitter is small enough i dont need to do the sides. " |
Quote:
i meant that the splitter is small in profile so i dont need to do side skirts. :) yah if you're already scraping the sport front diffuser you will probably scrape this one too. the Z already looks great without a front lip so this is just a preference thing. |

WHO SELLS THAT ONE??? lol... kidding. That fixes the curb scrape for your OWN driveway. Not if you're driving your Z to the store, club, someone else's house, work, etc.... any other place with a raised entry/exit way.... you're screwed. :( Not like you can pack a curb ramp with you in the trunk (uh oh... THERE'S an idea!!! I want royalties!!!) |
