That's what I got.

Finally got around to finishing my audio mods - components + amp to match the new headunit.

Then a quick rinse to get rid of the pollen :shakes head:

Ugh, the pollen has been killing me. I don't even want to take my car out because of it.

memorylasts 04-17-2011 10:28 PM

looked at it in the garage, smiled...

EazyD 04-17-2011 10:37 PM

It got rained on with the cover on,,, then I noticed it is wet underneath? I think peeling the cover off when it was frozen to my car this winter took off the waterproofing on some parts :(

FromG2Z 04-17-2011 11:09 PM

started her up just to listen to that exhaust again... then backed her out to the driveway, washed and dried her... then got carried away, spot clayed her, then waxed her with Dodo Juice Supernatural....

mmmmmmmmm

probably want to remove that cover now and wash the car when you get a chance. if you leave wet covers on it can mold, leave behind stains and clouds on the paint...worst case when sun beats on it the material will transfer onto the paint. :ugh2:

Yea, even though my car is garaged at night, when I take it into work and park there it is unprotected from the elements and within those 8-10 hours of being out of the garage a film has already formed.

did you get adjustable endlinks? if not your swaybar can work against you.
also if you want to really do it right (not just for looks) take the car in to a speedshop to get it corner balanced. :)

nope, i had no idea they were needed! no wonder its been a complete pain getting all 4 corner heights set. guessing and checking each time is so not fun :shakes head:

yah, first you need to unlink the swaybar both front and rear, adjust height by corner balance, then adjust the endlink length so that there is no torsion pre-load from the swaybars.

How many miles did your previous set last?

ZForce 04-18-2011 06:43 PM

Washed both cars over the weekend, just to have them rained on today... :(

Tauruszguy 04-18-2011 06:57 PM

Installed H&R drs spacers 15/20mm on Swift springs. :)

SPOHN 04-18-2011 06:59 PM

Had my car tuned today via Uprev through Forged Performance. Netted some great numbers. I'll have to wait to post graph for it's been a busy day. I also installed hood shocks and started to install a SS clutch line. But I need a specialty tool (line wrench) to get the final line off. So it will have to wait till tomorrow.

Cool. I installed Pilot Super Sports Saturday.

Red__Zed 04-18-2011 08:21 PM

I found an epic new set of twisties, with an amazing 10mph decreasing radius banked turn, heading downhill at the end of a straight.

Arc 04-18-2011 08:46 PM

Went back to the dealership today to have them install the front chin spoiler and front tire guards. I didn't know those 3 pieces were rubber-like so that keeps them from breaking as if they were made of hard plastic. Now my sports package 370Z is complete, LOL!

Nismoracer 04-18-2011 09:28 PM

Went to car wash. Got my change back in quarters. Grrr. $14 worth. Noticed wanna bees hang out there at night. Every car there had a huge spoiler. Look up& everyone is looking at me. Quickly entered wash before the stupid starts. Ah nice and clean. Pollen sucks.

You will grow to despise the chin spoiler -- I have already trashed my first one and am on my second. It gets even worse if you lower your Z.

I don't have any interest in lowering my Z.
I like the height just fine and it looks perfect.
There seems to be just enough ground clearance, but if I scratch the chin spoiler, I'll eventually add a custom front lip later on.
I am trying to avoid anything that will hit the chin spoiler, so far it's been good.

My gas tank is about half empty, so I'll probably fill it up this weekend.
I hear it's going to snow another 3-4 inches here. That means, no Z action for the entire week.

kenchan 04-18-2011 11:23 PM

arc- im with you with the ride height for street use. i like the full suspension stroke when needed too on crazy dips and bumps on the expressway.

even at stock height the roofline is noticeably lower than my -1.5" lowered G35C. :D

sounds like fun. :D there's a road called Tuna Canyon in malibu that has similar tight hairpins. it was the last stretch of twisties before heading home on PCH every weekend. :p

Nice, I was expecting more of a drop. My Eibachs look the same. Will be installing Swifts this weekend on 20mm and 25mm wheel spacers. Need to post up several different angles on the Swift thread.

Drove it!

Sorry man... but all my toy cars have never gotten one drop of rain (or snow for that matter) on them... been doing it for 10 years. I am very particular, and an avid detailer, and OCD, as you can prolly now tell ;)

If the weather shows precipitation chances of greater than 20%, the daily driver beater comes out...

c41006 04-19-2011 10:25 AM

mine only gets rained on once or twice a week
