Sounds great....too bad it's an automatic! Driving a manual vs an auto is the difference between driving a sporty car and driving a sports car...at least IMHO! There is no substitution! :tiphat:

Washed and dried her just before dusk last night and tucked her into the garage.

Backed out of the garage, got out to close the gate, went in the house to grab my coffee... and by the time I came back out of the house, she was already covered in pollen. :eekdance:

No problem! I will trade off the pollen for nice weather! Nice to have a little seat time with the top down. Happy sping everyone.

Speaking of springs, my Swifts are supposed to arrive tomorrow... on my actual birthday. How cool is that?

kenchan 04-11-2011 02:46 PM

sounds great, happy b-day! :D

i'd pull out my shopvac in blower mode and just blow that pollen off if you're car's clean. :)

chops 04-11-2011 03:00 PM

yesterday - first interior wipe down/vacuum/detail

today - drove with S-mode off and realized how pathetically slow my shifts have become due to SRM holding revs between shifts. lazyness!

tonight - quick wash to rinse off the sprinkles i got caught in the other day. it sprinkled some huge rain drops for a few seconds and turned pollen into polka dots

kenchan 04-11-2011 03:19 PM

polka dots, huh? :D

LunaZ 04-11-2011 05:05 PM

Collected 600+ miles of pollen and bugs.

I picked up some red/polished goodies today from FedEx...but I'm not quite sure what they do? I think it had a brand name on it called "Tial"???:excited:

Teddy KGB 04-11-2011 08:31 PM

Finally washed my recent birthday present to myself. Instead of "pollen yellow" it's now metallic grey...no wait, it's kinda purple...no, more like greyish silver. ;) Damn, I love the 40th! :excited:

Just got back form Forged from installing my OS Giken LSD. Stay tuned for my review tomorrow. For I'll need more time with the diff to give a more honest review along with my review of Forged.

If only I wish! You got one number correct, the 7! I'm 57, born 12/22/53. I realize it's personal preference but I have to laugh when I see people getting automatics with sports cars. Why bother? Why not buy an Altima or Maxima 3.5SE. That way you can have sporty performance and a back seat. I traded my '07 Altima 3.5 SE for the Z. It had plenty of power for sure and was loaded with all the extras and I didn't have to shift it. It was a beautiful car but was dull and boring to drive. If you enjoy an automatic Z, that's all that matters. Let ME take a guess and at the risk of sounding sexist, you're married and the only way your wife can justify you making the purchase is if she can drive it too, i.e automatic. Just a hunch! ;)

hahaha, well, it's good to be young at heart. :icon17:

i am married, i have 2 kids, my wife does not drive MT, she does not go to my cars' bedroom (aka garage). all 3 of my cars are MT. the dd she drives is in my name, not that she can't afford her own car, and it's the only AT i have. she's not a car person so has no interest in driving my Z. :)

kenchan 04-12-2011 10:53 AM

this am i looked at my Z's butt while backing out my G to work. was a nice view. :D

drove it to work and back.

been wondering. I think I should get my stillen gen 3 CAI's filters cleaned? how am I supposed to clean them?

RandyD 04-12-2011 05:58 PM

today, pulled up next to a guy in a big tree service truck with the top down.. he leaned out the window and said 'that's sick!'...

kenchan 04-12-2011 06:16 PM

Vegitto how many miles on them? I usually clean every 15k miles or so. You need to remove your bumper and remove the cones, follow the simple directions on the cleaning kit.

Very nice. You are making me miss mine. Oh well, 2 more days and I will ba home.

WorkinMan 04-12-2011 07:25 PM

Pulled out from under the carport into the drizzle left from a thunderstorm, rinsing off most of the pollen...yellow and red make...yech!
A quick zip up I-185 and I-85 at speed, then into work and then home with a fresh coat of pollen.

LunaZ 04-13-2011 07:40 AM

Got all this stuff out from under the reception desk and threw it in the hatch:

Whats ZDAYS ? lol sorry ima noob.

It's a gathering of driving enthusiasts near a lot of great roads. One of those roads, The Tail of the Dragon, is legendary.

I have made the trip from SW Florida for the past 6 years.

check out zdayz.com

Here's two Z's on the dragon.

<iframe title="YouTube video player" width="480" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/ZX8r7kLh5Lw" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Z chasing a GTR on hwy 28. AKA Hellbender (another road there.)

<iframe title="YouTube video player" width="480" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/c9P0I_vDhCk" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

And one from last year that includes a 370. It's one of my slowest runs because my car is slow in the wet, but I like the way the 370 looks in the water trail. It's also one of the few times I was able to get the dragon as a "closed course". (notice no other cars on the road)

Where is that damn like button?

I just took a ride to Harbor Freight to get some tools that I'll need for my install. Not sure when my kit is getting here but I'll be ready.

no z action today... or G for that matter. too windy and chance of rain = dust dots all over the car requiring wash. :icon14: no time for that.
