Cold Z day today. She needs a warm room!

SPOHN 12-23-2011 02:28 PM

Thanks guys.

onzedge 12-23-2011 02:30 PM

I have not doen anything with the Z today, but one of my dogs, Opie, got to visit Santa at the UC Davis Mouse Biology Program yesterday.

PaulZ370 12-23-2011 02:48 PM

Took my Z out for a spin on the countryside roads...! 34 miles of no traffic, curvy, hilly, long straightaways and twisty turns, and absolutely, NO SHOPPING-CRAZED WOMEN ON CELLPHONES DRIVING SUV"S PAYING ABSOLUTELY NO ATTENTION TO ANYONE ELSE...!

Don't you just hate that...??!

Thanks - the dog is mine and the Santa is a biologist/geneticist kind of guy.

happytheman 12-23-2011 07:30 PM

Onzedge, great pic! Is your pup a Bishon?

onzedge 12-23-2011 07:32 PM

Opie is a 6 year old Bichon Frise -- a rescue dog. We had problems with him at first as he hates white males (he lived with 2 elderly black ladies and they were all he knew). We warmed up to each other though. His name was Joe, but Opie fits better.

happytheman 12-23-2011 08:31 PM

I can see that a whitey issue could be a problem because, well....you're pretty white!

onzedge 12-24-2011 07:55 AM

I'll take a Mini though

kenchan 12-24-2011 12:34 PM

HAHA! :D

no z-action today, but i am going to look at the service manual to check where the clips are on the bottom cover under the steering column.

i dont plan on motoring my Z any time soon, but i might do the steering lock replacement and knob on monday if temps are mid-40F's and fire her up for maybe 15sec.

Yah just saw that new Mini Coupe last night and was somewhat impressed! It's no slouch, but I wouldn't trade my Z for it! :ugh2:

Waiz 12-24-2011 01:48 PM

Happy holidays everyone, I gave my girl a wash since the weather was so nice today :)

I'd like to add to my collection. But my mom is about to buy so that will good Enoch for me.

onzedge 12-24-2011 03:07 PM

I replaced my wiper blades with Michelin Stealth and gave her a nice Christmas Eve bath. (Sorry for the low quality Droid shot -- I was being lazy).

onzedge 12-24-2011 03:43 PM

I also installed washers and re-intalled my PWJDM knob. That's it for 2011.

No. I added a few rubber o-rings on top of the shift lever to raise the boot up a bit.

kenchan 12-24-2011 04:58 PM

Dude!!!!! That makes my day. Thanks, man.

I hope you and your family have a wonderful and blessed Christmas.

I finally get to give the Stratocaster to Taylor and the Canon to Colin tonight -- even though we not always "good" this year. What are you gonna do?

looks good (again), kingzee.

im sure the koni's can provide better overall damping for your lowering springs better than the stock dampers. :) you can at least fine tune the rebound to your liking which is important.

im going to wait another year before doing anything to my Z. for the time being i want to just enjoy the car without dealing with new things on it. :D

thanks bro :) (again)

I feel you on trying to wait before more mods, I always say that then I just get this itch and next thing I know I'm in the middle of replacing another part and driving back and forth to Home Depot buying tools and pieces I need. :shakes head:

happytheman 12-24-2011 07:21 PM

And some looks like this:

Is it because perhaps Mr. Onzedge maybe took out that spacer on the shaft and the PWJDM knob sits lower? Or.....did Mr. Onzedge put a short shifter on his ride?

Edit: BAH! Figgered it out! Mr. Onzedge is so cool he has a B&M short shifter! :tiphat:

sfearl1 12-24-2011 08:19 PM

I had Koni Yellows on my 350 and they were incredible. Now I'm stoked!
