I just got word that my car cover that I returned to Cover Craft for their repair has been approved for a warranty claim!
Technalon® / Evolution® I've been nearly three weeks without a cover and I park outside so I can't wait to get my cover back! |

i just noticed someone was selling a NIB noah cover in the for-sale section. damn it... :icon17: |

Mine works pretty well year-round but they said that it deteriorated from excessive sun exposure after almost two years of ownership  The cover has a four year warranty so it's all good ;) |

This will now be my 4th cover that I have gone through in 4 years! 1) OEM - too small, didn't last very long and crappy material 2) Friends used over - was already in pretty bad condition barely used it two months and then the materials broke down 3) Cover Craft - Lasted almost two years until material broke down 4) Cover Craft #2 - Crossing fingers :icon17: |

Nice shot, TypeOne.

So I cleaned up my G's interior (glass and seats) and afterwards I think I found the source for the rattle. Looks like it was the scissors jack adapter thingie making the metal noise. Added some thick padding. :) with colder weather the D-Specs are tightening up so things in the trunk tend to rattle over bumps. Also called up Griots that I haven't received my package they shipped out via USPS last Monday. they said they will send me a replacement via UPS tomorrow. I should've gotten it last week... so now probably too cold outside to use. :( box got stolen by USPS employees probably. |

That is a beautiful photo! I didn't do much but hopefully if everything goes well, I'll be going to the drag strip tomorrow night. Also going to see the blue angels and golden knights Saturday at the Amigo Airsho.

Had a little sideway action due to cold tires. Awesome. Then I washed her. A clean car is a fast car.
|
No action the last 2 days....huh...that might be a good thing. Drove to work and back....boring.
|
Did q quick exterior detail. About to head to the drag strip for the first time. I guess I'll find out how bad I am tonight lol.
|
Nothing.
Weather has been "meh" and I've been hauling stuff back and forth to the salon, I've needed the truck. Been doing a little photography again. Thinking about a soft, indoor cover to go against the paint and underneath my Stormproof for winter storage. |

Took my Z to the strip and learned that I have no clue what I'm doing. First run I got red lighted. Not sure how since I didn't leave till the third light went out. My buddy says he think it is cause I rolled backwards (the strip is up hill). Second run I try holding it by slipping the clutch. That was not such a great idea, when i took off i believe it had heated up and when i shifted to second it slipped horribly. The third and final run I used the e-brake to hold me and dropped it as I let off the clutch. All three launches were horrible, way to much wheel spin. This was my first time ever so it was definately a learning experience and my times did improve slightly. I think next time I may try leaving traction control on though. Here is probably the worst time slip ever on this forum with a 370: RT: 1.345 60': 4.184 Speed: 69.87 660': 13.124 Speed: 92.70 ET: 18.470 I need to learn how to get off the line. The guy beside me ran a 15.968 at 88.5 so with the speed I should have at least been low 15s. Guess I need to get more practice.
|
why don't you preload by holding the ebrake so you don't roll backwards?
|
I did on the my final run, it was much better. My clutch didn't get heated up and i didn't roll backwards either. I posted a thread in the drag strip area looking for some suggestions. The parking brake was suggested by a guy in a NISMO 350, he seemed pretty cool. He did walk away from me on that second run when my clutch slipped though :(
|
skeeter- practice makes perfect. Don't worry about it. Now you know wat not to do and that in itself was valuable experience. :)
Pulling out my Z in 30. :p |
