Take the onramp onto the highway really fast, the latteral g-force really helps. Felt the water come right out. Only worked on the left ear though. LOL

quiest way to get water out of your ears is to add a drop of water into your ear and shake it out. i use to do this all the time when i went to the pool as a kid. :D

3 car garage would've been even better but again, im not into houses or gardening so i decided to just get the one i have now and pay it off quick.

wife and i are almost done paying it off... if it wasnt for the crappy economy we have enough cash to pay off the house today, but dont want to use part of the savings we built up just in case something happens to one of us.

i dont plan on moving up to a larger house any time soon either. my neighbors are very cool (very important), kids school and afternoon programs are very good, nice quiet community as long as my indian neighbor down the street with a green yaris leaves me alone :icon17:, etc.

Nice, you're doing it the right way in my book

the dust cover i bought for the G year ago takes forever to get it back in the bag... (too big and clumsy)

Whew...thanks for the reply, thought since I have been MIA from the forum lately that I had become the outcast and shunned on.

Gonna add the QuickSilver Car Cover to my X-mas wish list, good to know how effortless it is to stuff back in the bag.

Footloose, g/l on the leak fix...btw what pipes are you running and how do you like them?

Footloose301 10-27-2011 06:48 PM

Motordyne ART pipes. LOVE THEM! Quieter and deeper than HFC's and you get all horsepower of test pipes without losing torque. In fact you get +20lbft tq over regular test pipes.

Stillen G3, Motordyne AND FI? Sweet! You don't have any sound lips of your setup do you?

Yes, Happy Friday Mr. Kenchan. :hello:

The only Z action for me today was an uneventful drive to the office. I must watch Game 7 tonight -- so no Z action after work.

Tomorrow --Bridjit curb ramp delivery. Next week, Swift Spec-R installation.

No sound clips with the FI exhaust. I just put it on a few weeks ago. I did have the HKS exhaust but wanted something louder and more free flowing in preparation for a TT setup.

after you're done check to ensure that the 16 (was it) or so bolts for the covers are snug tight. they tend to fall off after a while due to dealerships not tightening down enough (or over tightening them and cross threading :icon14: )

Mr. Kenchan is correct. I have lost 2 of them. For some reason, they are not stocked parts either. Go figure.

yah, i use to get my G's oil change done at the dealer way back when they had 3 free oil changes offered for cars bought there. well, ended up i lost 2 screws as well for the 12 or so that is used on the G. :ugh2: and you're right, they dont stock these screws.

luckily i had a few in my screw bin with the same 10mm hex and length so added a stainless washers and fixed. never gone to the dealer for oil change ever since.

I have heard a lot of good things with the ART pipes. Good numbers. I think BoostLee has that setup, and the soundclip was awesome.

I wish I could blame the dealer, but I have performed all but the first of my 8 oil changes myself.

I plan on doing the oil changes myself from this point on too, but I need to get some ramps first.

I will post pics. I bought only the two end pieces -- 8 feet total. My driveway is one car wide and very long (very old house).

haitech 10-28-2011 06:17 PM

added H&R 20mm spacers to the rear and fudged both wheel locks. one is spinning and the other the top twisted off.... WTF?!

I would say that it to the dealer and have them fix their error but since you were installing spacers I have a feeling that they will try and blame that as the source of the problem.

christian370z 10-28-2011 09:24 PM

Took the Z out to a dinner that my friends threw me for my 21st last night, going to a party in the Hollywood Hills tonight (the Z is staying at school). I'm going to wash it tomorrow, most likely with a slight headache haha.

:icon17: Yeah, yeah. It took me a while to decide on which springs (or coil-overs). The swifts and SPC rear camber arms are sitting in my garage, waiting patiently.

Ughh, had to pull into a parking lot today that was crazy steep..so much so that I worried I was going to scrape on the way in. Much to my chagrin I realized that there was no baxk way out....guess what? On the way out....scraaaaaape. :shakes head: good thing it was only the chin spoiler.

If I wasn't at stock height, this would have been sooo much worse.

Tell me about it, I am so happy I bought my INGS+1 lip used and scraped since it scrapes on EVERYTHING. It makes me feel less guilty haha.

As far as which springs to choose there should have been NO debate.

So what did it run you for the two? Did you buy direct or Amazon?

I will have to make a drive by and test em with the lowered on swifts. Let me know when you have them up.

ok...I am either steal/beg/borrow yours when Taylor installs the oil cooler or have to break down and buy these beasties. Where did you pick em from?

btw: welcome to the Swift Club...about time, I hope you trashed the Eibachs.

ZForce 10-28-2011 11:03 PM

Washed both Z's today, yeh I am old skool....good ol water, MG's UW&W & UQW, microfibre mit and towels ...oh...the big bad boy MF towel that holds 2 gals of water before having to wring it out. Dressed the tires and checked the nitro in tires.

Ready for a coastal cruise with some friends tomorrow. Leaving at 6:00 am, 400 mile trek 9hrs on the road. Does it get any better than this?

Drove it tonight for some sushi

1. I bought the Bridjits directly from them -- 2 end pieces for $199.00 plus $50.00 freight. I ordered Thursday and they are delivering today. Not bad -- 2 days from Washington and a Saturday delivery.

2. Come by anytime to check the curb ramps out. Let me know and I will PM my address -- you could swing by on the way home from Davis no problem.

3. The Rhino ramps -- I picked them up at Tognatti's on El Camino but I have seen them at Pep Boys and AutoZone -- they are about $40.00 or so. I think they are 6,000 pound capacity and a great deal less than Race Ramps. The "hillbilly helper" boards are from Home Depot. A few minutes on the table saw and a few screws and I was good to go. I also drilled a hole in each to drop a bolt through to keep them in place on the ramps. The ramps have a little hole also near the end.

4. Taylor will do a nice job on the oil cooler for you. He and Colin did the install on mine last year as a Father's Day gift. What cooler are you getting? The GTM Motorsports unit I have serves me very well -- the lines they use are made by Setrab and are tested to 2,000 psi.

5. Next Saturday is the spring/camber arm installation and I am doing it at Colin's shop on Northgate so I can do the alignment right away. I get a hefty discount when I use them and it helps the shop out. I really did not want to do springs here at the house and then have to drive an unaligned car -- even a few miles.

6. I will have to go to the Nissan in Roseville for parts -- the local guys are more Altima/Versa oriented than Z-centric.

7. I never installed the Eibachs -- I sold them new-in-box.

8. That's all. Have a great weekend, Mr. ZForce.
