I figured about that. Ouch!

Check out Auto Paint Guard Inc. Tampa Florida Clear Bra 3M Paint Protection Film Car Bras. they sell kits and if you can do vinyl install its really no different. Just keep your fingers wet while handling the adhesive side. :) I've bought from this shop before and they're pretty good . Ryan is the owner.

wow, really? where at?

Normal cost is about 5-800 for a full bra most places. Even a dealer usually only charges ~1000 for it.

gurneyeagle 09-30-2011 07:44 PM

I've got a 3M bra with the coverage onzedge quoted plus my rocker panels and it cost $500 here in Houston.

Went to the drag strip and watched Blades and Hazzazi go head to head, base 370Z vs 370Z NISMO. Can you guess which one was in the crappy lane after the rain cleared? Winning time 13.14 seconds at 106MPH. Then watched Blades run against some Fast and Furious neon glow Eclipse. Winning time was 13.11 again at 106MPH seconds In the end it was a 370Z evening.

That Nismo had an EXTREMELY poor launch. Who's was that, Hazzazi's?

TypeOne 10-01-2011 10:59 AM

Got my car back...

FZero blue wheels and color matched Stillen lip.

Very well done.

Are Nismo's just slower somehow?

Yes it was. That lane gave everyone fits all night long.

Attended my first Houston Cars and Coffee. The Z Club had about ten cars parked together. Got to meet a lot of nice people and saw a ton of cool cars.

Weather was perfect and it was a great time. I will be back!

christian370z 10-01-2011 02:26 PM

Just did my normal ONR wash in the school parking lot. I clean it every weekend but normally my car is the only one in that parking lot but there was a baseball game so of course, EVERY single person who walked by had to stare and ask why I cleaned my car and why I don't need a hose.

They won't go up? If not, hold down the window button for 3 seconds. Then roll up thE windows and hold the button for 3 seconds. This should fix it. It's something along those lines....

Look up how to reset your windows. Same thing happened to me. I forget exactally how to reset them though.

christian370z 10-01-2011 03:46 PM

You don't have to disconnect the battery to reset the ECU.

Quote:

Read the process a few times before you try to do this its ALL ABOUT TIMING:

1) With the key in your pocket/car, push the Engine Start button TWICE (so the car is fully on, but not started)
2) Within three seconds of the car "ON" (again NOT started), Floor (all the way down) and Release the gas pedal fully 5 times within 5 seconds. Do not do this too fast.. 1..2..3..4..5
3) Wait 7 seconds then floor the gas pedal and hold for 10 seconds. After that 10 seconds the Check Engine Light will start to blink slowly.
4) Release the pedal and floor it down once again and hold for 10 seconds. After these 10 seconds the check engine light will disappear then begin to flash much more rapidly. After you have done the following turn the car off and then back on. The ECU is now reset!!

wow, i can't believe that video went around this far... it's getting viral ...

anyways, it was not all about the lane... after waiting so long for them to clear the line, i was getting inpatient and was a little pissed.. and when i launched i revved it a little higher than i should, and continued spinning on first and second gear..

anyways was a crappy day for me

98intrigue 10-02-2011 02:12 AM

I ran a 11.85 @ 119mph... I'll have videos up in my thread hopefully tomorrow.

There is no Z action for me this week -- they are both comfortably covered up, nice and waxed, at home for a bit while I travel to So Cal. Here is a shot from the airport this morning (shot with my Droid) -- a nice sunrise over the Sacramento Valley.

FromG2Z 10-02-2011 09:50 AM

Well, Z action, but not for my Z anymore. I helped a friend install the Invidia exhaust that he bought off of me. Was a fun time. I missed doing that. Also helped changed oil, install Redline in his. Seems to be good stuff too. Soon I'll be putting on my exhaust, but won't be in this thread since it doesn't count :D

That's fantastic! Looking forward to the video! All the trouble you've gone through to get where you are now is beginning to pay off in spades!

Nice pict! have a good time down there in socal.

Just got back from motoring, did a full QD and cleaned up my garage. Had leaves from a few days of moderate winds. The drive was great. 42F on the chilly side but plenty of power and grip was good with the DW's.

Today going to finish up painting the breakfast area in my house. :) and just relax in my music room rest of the day. Kids are out at grandma's and wife's doing some volenteer work all day..... oh wait, paint first. :D

LunaZ 10-02-2011 11:15 AM

Washed off last week's reggenmeister road trip grime. At least I'm getting to use my rear fog light for its intended purpose, right?
I know it's supposed to rain again (or did it ever stop, really?) tonight and tomorrow, but I needed my Sunday morning therapy session. I didn't bother to dry it... spot free car wash soap combined with a sheeting rinse actually works pretty well.
A neighbor passing by made sure I knew it was gonna rain and that my efforts were in vain. I refrained from reinfroming him that his walk around the neighbourhood was in vain and he'd better get his fat and lazy a** back to his couch before football starts for the day.

Back to New Jersey tomorrow after I said I'm never going back.

Skeeterbop 10-02-2011 02:00 PM

Drove back from Road Atlanta today. Also found out that the NISMO 370 that competed in one of the races Friday uses stock brake calipers and pads. Forgot to ask what kind of fluid they use.
