Christian- nice picts! :D

Yesterday took out the Z for motoring-round2 as I knew it was going to rain this am. During the drive a lady complimented my car by saying "gorgeous car!" :D. Yay, first time ever a non-greasy dood complimented my Z. :icon17:

On my own day with the Z, I took her to Cars and Coffee this morning. Here's the link to that thread:

yah, i get compliments on my G all the time from the ladies but NEVER got one until yesterday. :crying: :rofl2: (i really dont care).

i think it's something to do with the darker colored wheels. it makes the car more guy-ish vs pretty. and unless the girl's into cars i think most prefer pretty cars.

onzedge 10-16-2011 10:59 AM

Sunday = detail day, Mr. Kenchan.

All work and no play makes........One more invitational run coming up soon. Coastal route heading north. Will keep you in mind, much smaller group next time.

Looked at the front bumber covered in bugs from yesterdays Run. Thinking about cleaning it, decided instead to watch the forty-niner game vs detroit. Maybe after the game.

At the waffle house waiting for 8:00 to go get my alignment. Then heading over to install my wing. What day it's going to be. Hope all goes smoothly.

I love Waffle House. Whenever I travel to the South I make a point of going at least twice.

took a test run of the Mid A Spooktacular cruise...

then gave her a bath.

SPOHN 10-17-2011 09:41 AM

Just got done with my alignment. Boy was it out of wack. Especially the toe. But no signs of abnormal tire wear. The steering input is so responsive now. How it should of been. I don't remember it being that way my first alignment. Now ready to enjoy the more camber I had added.

Washed, clayed & waxed. Found puddle of water on the left (driver side) wiper. Anyone noticed this on their cars?

WhiskeyHotel 10-17-2011 11:18 AM

Took a nice mountain drive on Talihina Scenic Hwy in SE OK - SW AR. Great drive except for all the slow old farts on motorcycles. Hmm, maybe I'm an old fart too - just faster.

HHMMM...I certainly did not do that route slow on my motorcycle. I must say there was a pretty bad Harley accident though. They were probably going too slow for the turn....

WhiskeyHotel 10-17-2011 07:20 PM

A few of the older Harley guys were enjoying the scenery for sure. Several times I ran up on them during hairpin curves and had to check up. I really didn't expect to catch any motorcycles on that route.

SPOHN 10-17-2011 07:35 PM

My new alignment specs. Man this cars handles so much better. The turn in so wonderful. Ten times better than my last alignment. First alignment I've had where the settings are the same from side to side. This was done with myself in the car.

Front
-2.3
.03in

Rear
-1.8
.02in

depends on what tracks you run, you may consider setting no toe up front, or even positive toe to get even better turn in. the z responds really well to positive toe.

LunaZ 10-17-2011 08:29 PM

Drove to NJ and back without incident for a change.

I didn't want to go that route for in the straights or interstate driving the toe would be even more postive.

fair nuff. I do recommend trying it at least once at some point.

The instability associated with 0 toe is not really present with the z, partly due to good suspension geometry, and partially due to the fat tires we run.
