ha! absolutely not. :D my lawn use to look decent until lazy landscapers cut out sod and then 'forgot' (took dandy long) to put them back after the driveway widening mod was complete earlier this summer. i was able to revive one side with daily watering but the other side died. HOA franko (he's italian too so i dont mess with him) said 'ken, you gotta keep watering every day' so i said 'ok' and watered every day as instructed yet it still died.

he insisted me to keep watering it so i finally told him to f-off.

What are you having done? Curious minds need to know.

Thinking about installing my stillen splitter. Anyone here done it?

Today I drive zena to work and to the gym. A beautiful day.

Nice to know some things are still passed down through generations haha. Do you have any full body shots? The car of course.

The good thing is that 95% correction in our eyes is perfection in everyone else's eyes which is what counts when you detail someone's car.

Ha, some people will never understand. Detailing is kind of therapeutic and relaxing to me, plus I always enjoy knowing that I have the cleanest car in any area I go.

My neighbors used to car me car boy since the first month I had the Z, I had the garage door up and the car on jack stands doing something every week haha.

Yep, a few folks have. Seems like u need to get screws and nuts to make it work right though.

Got home opened the garage and found a few spots of dirty water from the power washer on the z but not too bad. I'm glad I put the beach towel on the car cause it was slightly damp. QD'ed and wiped down the glass as well.

Also dusted and spot QD'ed my G. Cleaned her wheels and plugged her to the battery manager for a nap until Mon am when I take her out again to go to work. :)

BeachZTT 08-19-2011 08:29 PM

No Z action for me today. Drove the Xterra to work. My daughter asked me to take her husbands R32 out for a romp (he is an a far away place). I hasn't been out for a couple of weeks. First time I have driven it. Fun car! It has intake, exhaust, and a multi-program tune. I is sitting on the mild tune and feels really good.

It is raining now and I just got home. Supposed to stop in the early hours. Guess I will be up EARLY detailing the ZR for C&C. I will get some photos up tomorrow or Sunday. Later gang! :driving:

kenchan 08-19-2011 08:33 PM

hi beach! i was about to get a R32 4yrs ago but found out it only comes in that DSG. :( i wanted a 6MT real bad, only available in other markets.

watch out for those cars though...they are known to spontaneously combust...just like them MINI's. yikes. i think there was a recall on most (if not all) R32's at one point for this. regardless, they do drive fun and look great. :D

K&N claims 14hp but we all know we can't trust the marketing of the companies that make performance mods. Someone on here had it dyno'd and gained about 6-7hp if I remember correctly.

The air certainly won't be as cool as the long tube options that Stillen and Injen offer but I didn't want to have to cut a larger opening for the Stillen or swap the windshield washer fluid reservoir for the Injen. I might swap to the Takeda long tubes if they ever come out.

Today is the day! I am going to Sears Point today for the Jim Russel School of racing to get seven hours of instruction and track time in my 370. I've got fresh oil and fresh tires. I am jacked.

as long as there is good seal with the heat shields i think you're fine.

you can measure IAT's using scanguage or get one of those BT OBD2 modules + Torque (app) and see. even borrow one from a friend or something for a few hours. :)

motored the Z for 45min this am before rain started showing up on weatherbug's radar in the vicinity so went home, did some chores. pretty heavy t-stormage right now, but should pass in 15min or so. :)

tomorrow's suppose to be sunny... i hope.

good luck at sear's point MtTam! hope you painter's tape the front end and mirrors.

LOVE the side skirts PTY!!!!

LT419 08-20-2011 02:07 PM

In preparation for my incoming (I hope?) shipment of replacement springs, I wrestled the clutch helper spring out today... ended up needing a wrench and hammer as well. And all the parts ended up spilling onto the floor so I have no idea what order they go back in. :icon17:

I dunno how to describe the difference, other than it's definitely better.

FromG2Z 08-20-2011 02:41 PM

PTY, I like that matte black on your car... definitely goes with the EVO R side blades. I likey.

LT, another clutch spring convert? Any more of you and I will have to buy one :)

So today, I kenchan'd my Z to a buddy's house to pick up the Amsoil we ordered. I am getting ready for my last oil change of the season, before she gets stored away for winter :(

But anyways, before that, I delivered the Vette I was working on ALL WEEK to its owner this morning. 10 hours of work later, that is :ughdance: So christian, here is the response to your request for some pics... more INFO (including all the steps and work done for this monster project) in this link in the Lounge/DSLR section:

Thanks, that'll help when it comes time. And yeah, I didn't have the foresight to tie down the clutch pedal first, so I had to do some very awkward maneuvering down there which necessitated the hammer and wrench. Please don't take that out of context. :icon17:
