about up to 5" typical but we have a lot of snow trucks so the worst ive driven on was about 3" deep. (not yet on the G... probably will call in)
we got hit with a bizzard last winter so it was a good 18" or so + drift which ended up about 4ft infront of my house. :icon17: no issue, just called in.

We have a Rav4 too, but the impracticality of the NISMO was wearing on me. Spending $ on something I couldn't enjoy all year round and everyday was annoying.

Like I wasn't already in my NISMO? Anything with a wing is a basically a pedophile-mobile.

Waiz 08-29-2011 05:05 PM

Pics of the Evo? the MR is pretty cool

Congrats. They def give the stock sound a bit more oompf. Now just gather the funds and install an exhaust and test pipes/hfc's. That'll really get that biatch soundin nice!! Did you install the gen 3s yourself??

Sweet! It really gives the car much more attitude, especially up in the higher rpm range.

kenchan 08-30-2011 10:36 AM

as usual, no z action during the week so no action today. but did :yum: at her when backing out my G to go to work. :D

Nick911sc 08-30-2011 12:22 PM

Got my clutch helper spring in the mail today

Now I'll wait until everything is cleaned up in my area to install it lol

kenchan 08-30-2011 01:09 PM

nick-sounds good. hope you get that done before katia comes... :icon14:

Nick911sc 08-30-2011 01:12 PM

Dear Lord! haha

Anyone who has already installed the spring. Should I take out the bottom pin and leave the top in or the other way around for the easiest install?

kenchan 08-30-2011 01:23 PM

i thought i read take the top off and then work on getting the bottom off.

Nick911sc 08-30-2011 01:24 PM

So I have to take the whole assembly apart? I thought people were just removing one piece.

hey, dont change subject. :icon18:

Nick911sc 08-30-2011 01:55 PM

haha!

I know, gotta get this spring in. There are too many cars in my driveway at home right now!

I guess I'll just take BOTH pins out. It's funny when you actually type that because it's really an insignificant amount of effort lol

Glad it showed up.

I left the top pin in (so the piston stayed connected) and took only the bottom piece -- and everything that comes with it -- out. Didn't see the point of taking the top out if it was just gonna go back in.

talking about running short i was chatting with the wife, while driving down to pickup our kids, about wat i might get after my G35C... i jokingly said i want to get a Accord sedan.

she reached over, felt my forehead, and asked 'ken-san, did you give up on life?' :rofl2:

haha. :D

Nick911sc 08-30-2011 02:29 PM

ROFL

Thinking about getting rid of the G35C anytime soon?

not for at least another two yrs. im the original owner and while she is an older car she's only got 27k miles, still looks brand new, and been very good with transporting kids in the rear seats this year and a joy to drive and own. :p like this am weather was perfect with 65F. window down, the commute was

still love the car like the first day i brought her home. :)

Nick911sc 08-30-2011 03:13 PM

Glad to hear!

I've fallen out of love with my DD...

2002 BMW x5 3.0 with 90k miles...Going in tomorrow for new breaks, this thing is a money pit...

Looking forward to replacing her when the time is right. Thinking of an Xterra.

kenchan 08-30-2011 03:44 PM

yah, nissan's got a nice line up right now that pretty much fits everyone.

too bad MT's are dissappearing and converted to CVT tranny. :( that's about the only downside. they should've at least kept MT option for the maxima's;

Nick911sc 08-30-2011 05:17 PM

I would consider the Juke...But I'm looking for something I can go on offroad trails with confidence. I like to go upstate a lot
