me too... about 10+yrs ago i could've bought a new M3 and IS300 at the time (i wanted them so bad too... :crying: ) but decided to man up and settle on a G20 :rofl2: (infiniti) & dress it up while wife and i put a big down payment on our house.


our house will be paid off in 3yrs. :tup: and after that, im just going to save up for retirement. :p

Ok, so after last nights deer mod I did to my front end Im considering my repair options. The mod side of my brain is telling me to get this hood, although Im sure the body shop can bang mine back into shape. Time will tell.

yah, that's a cool hood and i think functional too to get heat out of the engine bay.

that intercooler is slighty cocked.... with this picture taking lately, even slight non-horizontalness bothers me. :D :icon14:

haven't done anything with the Z herself today other than glancing over at her :p when i pulled out my G to go to work, but i have been busy working on the saturation levels on the picts i took over the weekend during my lunch hour. :)

im real happy with the macbookpro. excellent portability and the screen is great for getting a fairly accurate image of my work. :D

if weather holds up im going to wash my G tonight. had to drive her home heavy rain yesterday. i must say Continental DW vs Bridgestone S04, S04's are hands down superior in the rain. although DW will probably kick most street tire's arse out of the water.

My material will be here tomorrow so I can have my intake piping redone, new intercooler, a Magnaflow resonator to take the rasp out of my exhsust at cold start, a new band clamp to get rid of a tiny exhaust leak by the passenger manifold, and lastly my CSF radiator will be here tomorrow!

If you want that hood, I found it for $580 shipped. I was going go get it, but decided on the CSF radiator instead.

I would LOVE to have that big fat intercooler :yum:

Today I had the pleasure of filling in a 1/8" x 1/2" scratch on my passenger side front fender due to some moron's landscaping truck dropping mud and rocks all over the highway at 75 mph.

It's way too white and sort of resembles a blister but I think it will shrink a little. I'll be damned if I'm paying $500 to have that **** blended into the doors/hood until I get a few more, you know what I mean?

Left the ZR in the garage today because it looked pretty nasty (the weather not the Z). Turned out to be smoke from nearby fires in the Dismal Swamp. Cleared up by about 10 when the winds changed direction. Need to schedule my 15k maint. tomorrow.


I knew that big @$$ snail was plastic. :rolleyes: I am still trying to figure out how to wire my boost gauge to the go pedal. :tup:

davey- sorry to hear. :( i too had a blemish on my previous (temporary) dd which was in a fenderbender a few years ago on the passenger side fender.... i fixed it to the point 90% of people wont even notice but i always wanted someone to hit me again on that panel for a free $1K check. :D

Yeah, once it shrinks I'll buff it and it should blend OK and just look a little off-color (and not pearl.) I don't think it was through the primer so it shouldn't rust, but I dunno, maybe I'll go get an estimate. I just hate to not be driving it! :driving:

Get the dr color chip kit and smooth it in a couple of times and let it dry before polishing smooth. Sorry to hear about the scratch. makes your heart sink when you see it.


On another note, I knocked 8k into the odometer today with a nice highway drive.

Drove it for the first time in the rain and all I have to say is: whoa, slippery..when..wet... hahah

Hey Beach how is the swamp doin? I blew up a VW Bug on the long bridge in the Dismal Swamp years ago going from Oceana to Cherry Point. Again good luck with the blemish Davey, yes our cars where meant to be driven and driven hard so they are bound to have small imperfections.

Hahahha, I did that too over the weekend. I have continental DW's on the car and they gripped pretty damn well... well, that's until I drove my G in the same condition which is running bridgestone S04's. The S04's is the clear winner. :) biggest difference was over painted lines on the road. Where the Z spun a little with moderate acceleration G did not... even with a pretty aggressive launch for wet.

Swamp is good today. Wind must be blowing the right way. :) Drove the ZR in this morning and just scheduled 15k at lunch time. Tried to get a Juke but they don't have one in the rental dept yet. Maybe next time.


Yeah, that is a good rund down that way as long as you don't blow anything up. I blew up a baja bug back in the day myself. :tup:
