/\ that's nuts, 4 mph over, you should see about getting a lawyer to fight it if it's not too much $$

Lol, never half-*** it. :bowrofl:

I'm definitely going to weigh my options here. It may be cheaper to pay it than get a lawyer involved.

Darn, I have to drive the Z tomorrow.

Srenity 12-09-2011 12:59 AM

Fixed the suspension noise that showed up after I installed the Swift Springs and wheel spacers. Now I can ....:driving: It is pretty crazy how small of dips and inclines the front chin spoiler will scrape on with lowering springs. I plan to drive it around until I get use to it before I install the Stillen front lip. I don't want to rip it off the first day.

My chin spoiler hates me and my Swift springs. If I ever had a CF lip on my Z I would blow it to pieces the first day.

happytheman 12-09-2011 06:43 AM

I'm thinking an aluminum scrape guard would go a long way to protecting yer gear, (should you put a lip on, that is) don't you?

Masa 12-09-2011 07:31 AM

Z got a little tail-happy this morning. 30 degrees + summer tires + wet patch on road = fun

mrcoolguyface 12-09-2011 07:41 AM

Same thing happened to me, here in Philadelphia.

Loose sway bar endlink on front right, and loose ebrake adjustment on rear right.

I had to buy this for my driveway before I did the Swift installation. It is one of my favortie "mods". Otherwise, I have no problems scraping -- watch your angles on driveways and speed bumps and you will be fine.

So who won the gold star award for the correct suggestion on the fix? The chin spoiler scraping is a frightening sound at first. After awhile the sound is just a feeler gauge letting us know we have an another 2 inches before any real damage. Stillen chin spoiler, I am guessing, it depends how far outward it protrudes from the front for any scraping effect. Let us know how that turns outs.

ZForce 12-09-2011 10:16 AM

Drove to work in 26F and the dashboard oil temp stuck around 190F which equates to 210F. Will defintely be using a block off plate on the new 25row oil cooler to be installed soon.

ZForce 12-09-2011 10:37 AM

I am pretty good at angles on public driveways and mine along with speed bumps.....but your driveway with the ramp....I still scraped with Swift....luckily you gave me an onzedge driveway 101. Good investment, I will be getting the ramp someday because the bro is about the order a new chin spoiler.

Yes, Mr. ZForce, even with the Bridjit ramp, I still need to angle in and out of the driveway. Regarding the chin spoiler, I am on my second one and am beginniing to consider it a consumable part.

kenchan 12-09-2011 10:51 AM

no z action today. had about 1/4" snow on the ground this am, no slippage with LM60's on my G. :p snow tires FTW.

Future Nissian in Roseville is one of the ZONC delaerships that give a 25% off all parts. Something to keep in mind when needing OEM parts.

I cannot remember the last time I even rode in a vehicle with snow tires. Are todays snow tires still noisey like the ones from yesteryears?

Happy Friday to all !!

Do they still make them... I have an old pair that is still in good shape. Gotta be strange feeling driving in dress shoes, when I am used to Vans or NB. :tiphat: X-mas parties start next week...boring..... I feel sickness coming on...cough...cough...call in sick...or take some annual leave.

LunaZ 12-09-2011 11:06 AM

I'm wearing combat boots today. Stalled my car pulling out of my driveway LOL!

Washed her and about to drive her to a xmas party. I also bought her a new floor jack as the one I used to do the work just did not cut the mustard.

I'm loading another one from inside the car. Might take 30 mins. I'm proud of the heel to toe I was doing being I don't SRS.

LakeShow 12-10-2011 02:02 AM

Just did some spirited driving in about 33 degrees NY weather and oil temp was at 220:eek:. Highest I've ever seen my car considering I only got it a month ago. I'm afraid what I will see in the summer.
