cool! im pretty much done with my Z as well as far as mods. basically will probably only buy maintenance stuff for it like tires and filters and stuff. :) going to enjoy the car now. :p

...and save up to get a new dd in a few yrs.

schrute's SSRs. My local AutoX club seems to think I can only run 18's in class, but I can run 9.5/10.5 widths...haven't been able to find much in those sizes, and I finally did.

Went to a small Z gathering at the hydroplane regatta. Very overcast and they only ran one heat before the weather was too bad.


Alch- I like the blacke out fang look. :)

Spohn- crinkle coating looks great. That is going to look really nice.

That's the plan. It is somewhat contingent on work, but I am hoping to go.

Turned out good. Not sure if I really like the fangs black. I like how it looks on every color BUT the blue. I like the rear blacked though.

Thanks! Actually, that is my friend Mark's 300. It is MUCH cleaner than mine. I left mine at home so the wife and I could ride together as we had dinner plans after the show. He had some paint work done in the spring and then got tagged in the back bumper about a month ago. It's all fixed now and lookikng good.


I think only colors I have seen it on were red and white. Looking forward to the MB.

black fangs look good in silver too, i thinks but i prefer CF. :yum: it's a shade lighter than matte-black so give it a nice blending contrast on silver/white cars.

motored my Z in the rain this am. :tup: was fun. but in some areas it was pouring as hell so it was a great test for my Continental DW's. grips very well...as good as my S04's wet or dry. :p im really starting to like continental tires although ive been more of a bridgestone guy.

going to wash the Z later this morning (thus i didn't care to get her dirtied up a little :p ) also going to put a "I" indicator on my rocker sw for the rear fogs cause i forgot which side was ON and OFF. lol.. :facepalm:

oh yah...wanted to show you guys this pict... it's off my droidx so not a serious photo but wanted to show how well SpeedShine alone can wax the car when you kenchan after each drive. :p

there is no 'wax' or 'sealant' on the car, just watever wax that is in Griot's SpeedShine. :p

I agree... I love my CF on my PW. Much better than black.

Nice Ken... although, beading is not necessarily a good thing ;) Actually, sheeting is much better. You should try Optimum opticoat sometime... it's sheets uber fast. Beading will remain on the surface after rain, attracting dirt/etc... then drying up (esp in sun), then mineral deposits (if tap water) and dirt will leave an etch in the paint... ala magnifying glass.

btw, the beading you see can also be effects of the existing wax or sealant (which I am sure you have on there at some point in the past, right?). The speedshine, though it has some wax/sealant properties also extends the life of the existing LSP.

Took the ZR to the regatta mini show again to day and there was actually sunshine. I will post some pics in the photography section later as I have a lot of chores to catch up on. :eek:

Finished my radar hardwire w/center console mounted mute button and relocated aux power port to shifter ring :cool:

Thinking about doing the same whenever I have time. How'd it go?
