Took my car to the barber shop. Some kid in a beat up old Ford Explorer looking thing rolls down his window when I get out of my car and says "Hey sir, I love your car!" **** I feel old. I thanked him anyway.

FromG2Z 08-06-2011 08:41 AM

got up at 5:30 this morning and proceeded to give Zena a bath. Ahhh..... what a way to start the morning.

Footloose301 08-06-2011 08:42 AM

I would love to clean the car but it rains everyday during this season

SPOHN 08-06-2011 11:10 AM

Just got back from Mike's this morning from getting my gauge plate powder coated. Look carefully at the wrinkle black he done it in. I love it. Will be starting on the gauge install Monday so stay tuned for final product.

Also I want to give big props to Mike for doing this for me and suggesting the wrinkle black.:tup: I more than highly recommend him for all your powder coating needs.

Cool. Too bad you can't still use the cubbyhole. That would be a sick mod. Or take the factory cubbyhole door and cut some holes and put the gauges in that and tuck the wires somehow.

I'm still using the cubby hole. The plate goes in there. Check out the last page of my journal in my sig.

anything for a bit more power and deeper exhaust note I'll do

Actually, I was on Motordyne Engineering's site.

Intake/Exhaust Components - MotorDyne Engineering.

Before you go changing up your exhaust notes, I think it would be beneficial to your fellow man to get (and post) you current setup!

Thats why Im doin mine in Plasti-Dip. If I dont like it you can simply tear it off, like a vinyl. $5 a can and one can did the front and rear. Can you say cheapest mod ever :)

Alchemy 08-06-2011 12:57 PM

Nice Spohn. I def like the wrinkle paint

98intrigue 08-06-2011 01:22 PM

Drove the Z to the beach...beautiful on the way there...rained 5 minutes later and now the car is dirty. Darn...

LunaZ 08-06-2011 01:44 PM

I reggenmeistered her and drop her off at my detail guy's house.

FromG2Z 08-06-2011 01:52 PM

Alchemy... looking sharp. But please do not let bird doo sit on your paint for longer than a minute, esp in sun. That will etch into your paint... permanently, only removable by a DA or rotary, taking off enough clear coat to clear the lowest depth of the etch.....

Alchemy 08-06-2011 02:16 PM

Oh its gone already but you would cringe if you saw my paint. Really wish I did clear bra. My nose is destroyed from rock chips.

thank you, mr.onzedge. i need to experiment with it more... especially getting the tree reflection in the door as a slap in the face... didn't i learn ANYTHING from my RC picture taking the other night??!

haha indeed interested in closeup shots of green grass.

while i was taking picts of my car i noticed a grasshopper wanted to join in and it was sitting on my car right above the door handle while i was taking picts. i was like 'the heck is this little dot in my view finder' after about the 3rd shot and i realized... hey grasshopper! :D

happytheman 08-06-2011 04:19 PM

Kensan, did you lay on the ground while lining this shot up? LOL

looking great, as always!

thanks, yah, the tripod was well worth the $. :) those are the Craftsquare CF side mirrors. i bought them directly from their shop in japan with the help from my pops. Ztune should be able to source them for you though. :)

kenchan 08-06-2011 05:07 PM

btw, yes, the mirrors are very easy to install. :)

Ken... shots look amazing. Good comp. I like that new tripod too. How much was that?

Today, I put another layer of Supernatural on Zena... didn't get to drive her today though. However, I was in such a good relaxed mood today (I had 2 coronas with lime... mmmm), I let my son play with "some" of my prized diecast collections. Under my supervision of course :D
