What did you do with your Z today

I installed my Stillen rear sway bar. Ran out of time to do the front.

oh no. It's THAT hard to remove just that black cover? I was planning to have a shop do a matte black rear valence overlay next week, and I was hoping to take that black cover off to get good coverage within that area to avoid any white "peeking" out.

Is it that hard? Any recommendations?

G2Z your tint place should be able to tuck the vinyl into the crevis WITHOUT removing the dummy lamp. it is a royal PITA to remove that thing so dont even touch it. once removed you may not be able to put it back on.

nissan went on a thread-lock party on that nut and the bolt that is inside breaks free very easily. i too had to cut the nut with my dremel...

ah geeeez. Another loctite ordeal again? At least with the oem shift knob I removed, I could wrap a strap wrench around that. Not so much for this nut/bolt I guess.

So I am hoping that the tint place can tuck that in fairly well.

No Z action for me either this morning (rain), but yesterday, I took the Z to yet another car meet with some buddies. There was a SC'd camaro there, with an intake piping diameter of like 6"... I kid you not. That thing was prolly laying 500whp at least. A nice shelby cobra parked next to us too. lol. I still think my Z was the best looking of the bunch

Hey man, did you use a tripod for those shots, or perhaps an image stablilizing lens?? I'm thinking about getting the NikonD60 after seeing your shots.

G2Z has some secret DSLR camera and uses RAW files to upload.

hey Happy... no, I did not use a tripod for those shots. I do sometimes, but mostly when I take night shots. I want to try to take HDR photos... where I take photos at EV -2, 0, and +2 then blend them all. But to answer your question, the Nikon D60 I got did come with the VR lens, which has a built in stabilizer I believe. The camera just rocks...I stand by my statement that it ain't me with the skills... it's the camera. I just make sure I have nice angles and lighting. I am sure you can get the same results with a Canon EOS too. But I am just a fan of Nikon.

You know what the SAD part is? I've had the camera for almost 2 years, and never really started shooting in RAW mode till recently. I don't know WHY I waited this long to shoot it that way. The difference in pic clarity/quality/and *pop* compared to Jpegs is NIGHT and DAY. I will only shoot in jpeg mode in those instances where I don't really care about the shots The best part about the digital age, Data is essentially free. No wasting of film.... SHOOT AWAY!!!

LOL Ken.... I wish I could take all the credit, but I'm no expert, nor do I claim to be.... it's all the camera. You can buy a nice point and shoot for what, 250? You can get into a DSLR for like 350 - 450 or so? Even in full auto mode, the DSLR shoots wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy better pics than the point and shoot. First time I loaded the pics on my PC in RAW mode, I thought to myself, "Damn... I take THAT good a shot?!?!?!"

So yeah, it's not a secret camera just go out and buy ANY dslr camera... amazing stuff. I have so much fun shooting pics now. I want a new lens with a diff't range. Maybe for father's day?

Ken... I use a Nikon D60. It was a step above the D40. It had some features the D40 didn't have, so I sprung for it. Comes with an 18-55mm lens, should work for 90% of your shots. Here's a review of the D60.

Nikon D60 Review - Digital cameras - CNET Reviews

Sad part is that I think they stopped making it already, but I think some merchants still sell it. The replacement now is a D3000 I think.

D3000 from Nikon

Whichever you get, just get an 8gb (at least) sd card, then SHOOT AWAY!!!
