i don't really pay attention to people in other cars but when i do look most of the time their either looking at the car or giving me the thumbs up

Seriously, this car is getting waaaaay more attention than I anticipated. Actually a little too much; that is to say, as much as I'm flattered by it (on behalf of the Z, of course), it's way more attention than I expected.

Haha, just went in the gate, and the security guard is like, "Hmm....E-5 huh....must be livin' it up?" lol.

I had one simple answer: "Nope, I'm just not married."

We BS-ed a bit about it since I guess he was really into the 350's, and mine stood out for some reason (he didnt know the 370 was out). Seemed surprised you could get it for 35 out the door with tax...

A little more than I expected.

For some reason young Asian males in "lesser" import cars give me hardass looks. Jealousy maybe?

Mustang GT's are really aggressive around me, too.

No surprise there - I got the same treatment from some shitty Celica last night. Dude rode my *** and blew by me looking all hard.

And the Mustang story reminds me of when I went and test drove an RX-8 when they first came out, about 5 years ago...I didnt even make it a mile down the road and I was getting challenged by some 4th gen Camaro. Was ridiculous...either way, that car was ball-less so I quickly shot it down haha.

I just hate how all these punk kids feel like they have to race... it's like... why not you just pull up next to me, check out my car, and get on with it? I'm too old for that kind of crap. If I see a nice car and the driver notices me checking it out I'll give them a thumbs up or a nod... that's it. I have run into a lot of those kind of people since i"ve had my Z but unfortunately it also attracts those that will most likely succumb to Darwin.

The guys in RSX's or other FWD imports that act all hard make me laugh, though. It's hilarious to see some dude in a Civic or RSX think he's the **** in the car daddy bought him. I'm sorry, but I'm never going to act like I am the **** unless I'm driving Jeff Gordon's race car to work!

^^^

Surprisingly I don't recall any imports challenging me yet, it's all been domestic. Camaro and Trans AM to even a Monte Carlo and a Dodge Ram. Probably due to where I live right now

^^ I like to drive fast on my terms. I will never "race" some foolish kid because he's giving me "hard" looks. I would rather get a thumbs up from a Porsche GT3 or something and do a spirited drive with him and then discuss the finer things over Starbucks or something.

I've got it all.... and nothing to prove to some shmuck kid.

I think most people around where I live think it's a 350z. Hell even a few friends & coworkers mistaken my new 370z for my old 350z. I bought pearl white both times, probably adds to the confusion.

Yeah...... been pulled over twice for no apparent reason, both times by younger people, and they always want to ask about the car, then they give me a dumb explenation of why I was pulled over. And yeah the people at the parking lot, thats funny, as soon as they see you coming they pretend they werent looking, and dissapear.

Interesting poll, wouldn't have thought to ask that. A little surprised by the results to be honest. Most laymen don't know what a 370 is, so I wasn't expecting to get any attention.

Seems like this happens to me on a daily basis. I've seen people race and weave through traffic to catch up and then challenge. The best thing to do is to rev at the stop like you've accepted. On green, pull off really slow and let them burn up their tires.

I never had a car that attracted any attention before and was quite surprised at how much this car attracted. So far, I have not seen another on the road. You can't trip without falling on a 350Z. So I guess at some point, the novelty will wear off.

I was actually missing the complements because no one said anything for a couple days. Went to fill up yesterday afternoon and everyone that passed by gave me the thumbs up or "nice car". All is good.

I've noticed a lot of older guys (I'm talking retirees) check out the car a lot. Must remind them of their younger days. I get a kick out of it.

When I stopped to fill up with some V-power tonight the kid on duty came right out to check out the car. He took some pics and we talked about cars for a bit.
