Wow, I would have refused delivery of the blue car.
You'll need to take them to court. They say they are right. You say they are wrong. Let the judge decide. Take LOTS of pictures and use bold yellow arrows indicating where the holes should be drilled for mounting the license plate holder, and that they are only there for the grommets. |

Florida ftw. That bites though. I can understand the OP's frustration. It is difficult at times to get a straight answer from large corporations.

mounted plate holder
When I showed up to pick up my car someone mounted the plate holder ,I ASKED them NOT TO but they did well.... in return the dealership got a new undrilled bumper they installed my radar behind the bumper and the stillen gen3 intakes plus sold me the nismo front lip AND installed it at cost of lip (like$550?) see pic's. I believe the only reason they did this cus I inspected the car BEFORE I signed any papers!

OH requires front plates and my Z came with the plate holder installed
I ran my MX-5 Miata with no front plate the last two years with no problems so Ohio's cops don't seem to care much and it looks sooo much better not having a front plate. |

I called my dealer rep today , on delivery of my Z ,he said the front plate bracket is in the trunk,he said he planned on leaving it there, the guy is smart enough to know there are after market brackets, even though front plates are required in BC.He also said they wouldn't be sticking a Dealership sticker on the car,the rear plate bracket has the dealerships name on it.
I've been running my Titan for 5 years in BC without a plate up front, fortunately I live near the Alberta boarder an they don't require front plates,so the local cops see so many vehicles without a front plate. Some how I think the new 40t th Z in town will turn a few heads, including the local law enforcement. If I'm lucky I ll get a few weeks without a front plate, maybe another after they catch on an I tell them I have an after market one coming. |

And the dilema is that if I move back to Florida I'm stuck with a front license plate holder when the states doesn't requires a plate on the front. Quote:

I received good news from the dealer Service Manager today where I purchased my car. Nissan Co. called them and authorized them to get a new bumper for my car because of the holes they drill on.
It took me since November 09 complaining and contactinf everyone I could, but it was worth it. I will keep you guys posted. I know the dealer is going to give me a pos Altima to drive while the car is in the body shop. Thanks for the support of some of you guys!
