I most certainly believe the new Z will be a superb platform to continue tuning and outright enjoying. I would be just so tempted to take that 36 and toss it on a C7. It's pretty much up to you and hope I'm in your predicament soon lol.

I put way too much time and effort into my Z lol. Though if someone offered me 30K for that thing, i'd take the cash.

A C7 Grandsport is something i would be tempted to look at. I'd JDM it (advans, clean aero kit, maybe a voltex wing if i end up tracking it). It seems like the best balance between performance and control.

Agreed lol. Porsche Cayman. R35. C7. C6 Z06. New Supra. Ftype jaguar. Just so many choices that I would consider. I would make the new Z my main choice but possibly not my only. If I was offered 30k I'd probably sell in an instant.

C7 Grandsports are costing as much used right now as they did new. It is crazy.

My buddy has the C7 GS carbon edition, and I have to say it's a pretty damn nice ride. He traded his C6 Z06 for it. I drove it and it was a blast, especially with the T top (which I wish the supra or z was getting ugh!) The corvette and Z are so different though...

This is pretty much every car. Just helped my in-laws buy a CX-5. (not by choice, they actually needed the car). I kid you not, the used ones were MORE expensive than a decently trimmed new one............what world are we living in. We purchased new obviously and saved a couple grand over the used while getting the better interest rate. All I could do was talk down the 1200 mark-up. Paid msrp.

The handling is very similar. The front grip is much better on a C7 GS though. The C7's handles like a Z. The C6 and lower freaking sucks in my book.

Oh, can't leave this off. You will bend a wheel with the quickness on a C7 Grandsport or Z06. Hit a pot hole and they are done. Been there and done that.

The wheels would definitely be the first to go on that thing. Ever since i got some ADVANs for my WRX, I can't go back to a lesser wheel lol.

That is kind of the issue. Stock wheels are very light, that is why they bend. Would have to go up to a high dollar wheel to get something comparable. Would need to be a Forgeline Monoblock wheel. They aren't cheap.

Forgelines are absurd. I get it's high quality, but holy crap.

When I bent 2 on my wife's car, she wanted to go back stock. So that is what I did. I didn't get to keep the old ones either. I had to give those back.

With a different time on it... You set them to be the same, and a month later, it's different.
What I have read was Base @ 40, Performance @ 50, the proto spec at 60, with the NISMO to follow in about a year. If I had to guess, I would say the NISMO would price out around 60.
MSRP on my 16 NISMO was 45k, and they were selling for 32 - 36k, after 7 years on the market. The first couple of years, I imagine you won't be able to find one without a "Market Adjustment" (what the local Ford dealer was calling the buyer's premium...), although we got the dealer to knock the 2k adjustment, and another ~3k besides, to get a new Bronco Sport for the wife, so some dealers are still willing to haggle for repeat customers.

I struggle with this every day.... do I sell and make $$$ and just sit on the cash and wait for the economy to stabilize in say 3-5 years, or spend the $$$ for an FI stage Seb (2.5) TT kit + supporting mods....

https://www.autoevolution.com/news/2...ch-188515.html

"According to the Japanese brand, the 2023 Z will be on sale in Australia from mid-2022 with just two grades – a standard specification going for an MSRP of AUD 73,300 and the Z Proto Spec that jumps to AUD 80,700 (plus “statutory charges or other on-road costs”). That translates to $51,215 for the base trim, and also to $56,381 at the current exchange rates, which is certainly a hefty asking price."
