It won't be just the new Z having a price higher than announced. I think your decision should be based on the fact that the new Z will probably cost you at least 50k.
All I’m saying is compare apples to apples. If they’re both going to be $20,000 higher, I’m going for the Vette.

I’d consider a base Corvette for $80,000 before I’d pay $60,000 for a base Z. To each is own, but let’s keep it in perspective.

The new Z is supposed to be an “affordable” sports car it always was.

The new Corvette is an “affordable” super car.

My buddy has the C7 GS carbon edition, and I have to say it's a pretty damn nice ride. He traded his C6 Z06 for it. I drove it and it was a blast, especially with the T top (which I wish the supra or z was getting ugh!) The corvette and Z are so different though...

The handling is very similar. The front grip is much better on a C7 GS though. The C7's handles like a Z. The C6 and lower freaking sucks in my book.

Forgelines are absurd. I get it's high quality, but holy crap.

When I bent 2 on my wife's car, she wanted to go back stock. So that is what I did. I didn't get to keep the old ones either. I had to give those back.

https://www.autoevolution.com/news/2...ch-188515.html

"According to the Japanese brand, the 2023 Z will be on sale in Australia from mid-2022 with just two grades – a standard specification going for an MSRP of AUD 73,300 and the Z Proto Spec that jumps to AUD 80,700 (plus “statutory charges or other on-road costs”). That translates to $51,215 for the base trim, and also to $56,381 at the current exchange rates, which is certainly a hefty asking price."
