I’d consider a base Corvette for $80,000 before I’d pay $60,000 for a base Z. To each is own, but let’s keep it in perspective. The new Z is supposed to be an “affordable” sports car it always was. The new Corvette is an “affordable” super car.

My buddy has the C7 GS carbon edition, and I have to say it's a pretty damn nice ride. He traded his C6 Z06 for it. I drove it and it was a blast, especially with the T top (which I wish the supra or z was getting ugh!) The corvette and Z are so different though...

"According to the Japanese brand, the 2023 Z will be on sale in Australia from mid-2022 with just two grades – a standard specification going for an MSRP of AUD 73,300 and the Z Proto Spec that jumps to AUD 80,700 (plus “statutory charges or other on-road costs”). That translates to $51,215 for the base trim, and also to $56,381 at the current exchange rates, which is certainly a hefty asking price." |
