The pads actually lit on fire, caused the caliper piston to seize in the full-out position, and then melted around the calipers piston. The fire ended up melting and rupturing the brake line, causing him to lose all fluid. Luckily, all this didn't happen until right after he got off the track, or it would have been devastating.
All well and good, but the 370Z was still the only car that had this problem. I'm just sayin'...every other car seems to have made it through to the end. (Just finished reading the entire article, came in the mail today)
