I got a nail in my tire and didn't notice it was completely flat until I had already gotten onto a busy road so I had to drive on it

I got a nail in my tire and didn't notice it was completely flat until I had already gotten onto a busy road so I had to drive on it a couple of blocks to get to the nearest parking lot. I've got to replace the tire but I'm hoping the wheel is ok.
