Thanks. I feel you on decal - got lazy, especially after trying to remove my toasted convertible top deck lid liner. Got an easy suggestion for removal?

Leave it in the sun on a hot summer day. Texas sun makes it easy almost any day, but in Massachusetts you might have to wait for the right day. If you use a heat gun just make sure you use it on low heat and be extremely careful not to overheat the paint and clear coat.

That 3M Eraser Wheel is extremely dangerous around paint in the hands of the inexperienced. Better to use a heat gun on low first. I wouldn't use the eraser wheel except as a last resort and keep the RPMs low and slow.

You have any experience with removing baked-on, cracked Roadster top liners? Most posts I’ve seen say the same: mild heat and scraping. I tried but it was very messy and slow. I have the adhesive wheel on order. FYI I am tentatively planning to wrap it next year, so may have them take care of it.

This is to be expected. Patience is the name of the game. The slower you go the better chance you won't mess anything up. If the adhesive is being stubborn, there is no magic answer for quick removal.

You'll probably have to use a combination of a heat gun and some patience. I'm by no means an expert but that's what i can think of.

Dropped my Z off at the dealer for the first time in 4 years

Their Master Tech is checking out the airbag systems, fob antennas, and A/C system for me. He's already figured out everything lol

A/C was at about half charge. And the heater hoses near the rear RH side of the engine look

The plastic coupler is either already broken or extremely likely to break when I pull it out. The Master Tech told me the same thing happened in his G37S and recommended a metal coupler with bleeder port like this: https://conceptzperformance.com/czp-...t Bleeder Port

Airbag system is good to go and the fobs are all working again. Safelite should be covering new B-pillars as well although I'm not sure if they'll authorize the dealer to give them to me or source it themselves.

The tech also verified that I had the Stebel horn connected properly but there appears to be a problem with the horn itself. I'm going to troubleshoot and buy a new one if necessary.

I have a K&N intake, FI Resonated HFC and FI exhaust w/ 18" resonators. All mods were done by a previous owner but I couldn't find a tune cable anywhere so I figured I'd get a tune, mainly for throttle response tweaks and to make sure everything is running decently efficiently.

The car has almost 80k miles and is in great shape and I want to keep it that way! I don't have any major plans to upgrade anything else at the moment since it's my daily driver I'm keeping stock suspension but, if/when things break I'll be upgrading them.

If they're short tubes, ditch 'em. I have a set of low mileage Z1 CAI's for sale. PM if interested.

being all NA, i'm similar, have Motordyne Shockwave exhaust with ART pipes and long tube Stillen CAI..... these #'s are after the Ecutek tune

getting the tune after the upgrades was a major difference, well worth it IMO in terms of throttle response in the mid range...

also, having launch control is awesome!

..not that it matters for a tune but do have a fortune-auto coil over suspension installed and did the Z1 moto/trans mounts & sub frame/solid diff bushings

I would ditch that intake if they are short tubes. you would be better off with the stock boxes.

I have the Z1's installed. No cutting required, similar gains to the Stillen Gen3. Overall, a great set.
