I read his helpful comment and tried that. It got me halfway there. What really worked for me was taking a cap screw with a tapered end (pull one off the undershroud) and threading it in to the hole closest to the brake fluid reservoir, just enough to hold the brace in place while I put the farthest fastener in. Then I pulled the tapered screw and threaded in the one Z1 provided.

I hope this helps someone; I know I spent more on tools to try and solve this problem than the damn brace cost, and finally gave up out of frustration lol

Most important tools for installation: telescopic magnet and good flashlight. Flashlight to locate the bolt you dropped so you can attempt to retrieve it with the magnet. Good thing the kit didn't come with stainless steel bolts.

I have a bunch of little clip-on-your-old-man-reading-glasses LED lights; I clipped those on various strategic locations in the compartment. Still ended up holding an Adam's Polishes light in my teeth for most of the install. Their little handheld lights are bright AF, love 'em.

And I'd recommend two telescopic magnets.. the second is for when you end up dropping the first one into the compartment...

Switched the CR2Ps for some OG TE37s. Not as aggressive, but definitely lighter and way easier to clean.

I remember i dropped a 10mm in the engine bay when i installed my gen3s way back. I think it rattled out eventually. Or you know... its buried in there at the scrapyard

Update 3: This seems ok right?!





The clutch side has some debris and clearly there markings showing the CSC wasn't adjusted after the master install.

Ordered an Action Stage 3 Clutch and new Flywheel to go with it. Labor is still going to be cheaper than what Nissan quoted for just the CSC (on top of the fact that the guys at WR said that Nissan installed the ZSpeed CMAK wrong on another customer's car).

There is no CSC adjustment. The only adjustment that would need to be done with an CMC install is the rod length to the clutch pedal from the CMC.

I did this a bit with one of the connecting fork nut when i did the rjm pedal (also prob in the yard). Pretty easy.. minus pain to reach. And thats coming from a small guy
