I lose some oil when I run it hard. It's mostly from blow by I'm guessing since I got no leaks and no blue smoke.

I noticed on my old z after 5000 km oil started to drop slowly (i check every fuel up)

New car havent noticed that. It was a bit lower last fuel up but i think engine was still draining as it was only 1/3tank. Aslong as its above l and helow h dots we good.

I spool out the engine A LOT

The heads hold a lot. It takes a little while for the oil to drain back down. And to drip off of everything.

I don't lose any just driving it around on the street. It take a beating to see oil loss. Only time I see it is at the 1/2 mile event. But I'm running it up 7600+(limiter set at 7800) in every gear for 50~ runs over 2 dayz using everything ARC has to offer every run.

I finally installed my carbon signal rear diffuser for the 15+ nimso...I have been putting it off because I wanted to have it flush, but ended up getting motivated and installed with 1" spacers. I'm so happy the whole lip kit is now installed.

Diffuser looks good. I finally ordered Sprint Booster today. Should arrive early next week. Was able to get a 10% discount. Hot Rod Z

Went out for a paltry 325 mile spin along the Mississippi River.. they built a new bridge at Savanna/Sebula, and since I've already crossed near all the bridges over the Mississippi i was like "oh! this opportunity comes across once every 10 years or so.. gotta action it." Did so and completed some unfinished parts of the Lincoln Highway National Scenic Byway on the way back.

Brought with a temp gun; am pleased to report to the forum that after wrapping my Y-pipe, readings of the floor pan/trans hump never exceeded 89*F during a 7 hour somewhat-spirited drive with ambient temps ranging from 70*F to 50*F. Sadly, I don't have temp readings from before I wrapped the pipe; that being said, the passenger compartment was noticeably cooler. A box of wrap costs $15 on Amazon. This mod is very high on the cost/benefit curve, and I recommend you do it.

Tired of my floor mats getting worn and dirty, so I picked up some 3D MAXpider Custom Fit All-Weather Floor Mats

http://www.the370z.com/members/zonth...bber-black.jpg

http://www.the370z.com/members/zonth...bber-black.jpg

Came in yesterday and I am digging the fit.

My mats have started to pull-up and deform upon entry/exit and I figured I would switch them out to something more durable during the daily (especially with Florida's wet summers).

GPS Head-Up Display Speedometer (quick and easy installation) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B005X4QCAA..._-O7aDb4XD939R

Most responsive for best price on the market. Gets real bright at night so I bough some gray plastic sheets that theatre guys like EW put over the theater spotlights, then cut multiple pieces to fit over the LED display.

I honestly dont know how I drove a car without one of these.

No, it's a pleasant green. Much dimmer in the pic than IRL as I put two pieces of translucent dark plastic on it

Took the car out yesterday and it started to pour, I'm talking HEAVY rain fall. So, I did some power slides in second gear around some turns. Okay fine, I did like one or two but that's a big thing for me. by the way. TORONTO RAPS ARE THE 2019 NBA CHAMPS!!!! YESSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Be sure to buy the thin metal zip ties, not the fat ones. Fatties couldn't grip on the curved pipe - take that however you'd like.

Yes, definitely don't forget the tool. I forgot the tool. Saw some smoke coming off the pipes when I started her up; realized the source was all the blood I'd lost on those ties.

Haha. I have a few razor blades waiting for me on the G when I finish the exhaust. The tool make it easier and safer

I can't wait to see the smoke coming off the Z when it's back together. Between the wrap and the coating that needs a few heat cycles to cure plus the clutch chatter it will look and sound like i made it worse instead of fixing it

Hot Rod 370 Z 06-14-2019 09:53 PM

So what did I do to my 2019 Z today ? Received Sprint booster. Installed it and I have to say it did not take 15 minutes. More like an hour. That being said the hardest part was disconnecting the plug from the back of the throttle pedal. I was afraid I was going to break it. So went on line watched several videos but none were really for the Z car. I gave it one more shot and I guess I found the release area on the plug and it came right off. Plugged in the unit, screwed the pedal back down, ran the wire and tucked it under different panels. You cant see the wire at all that goes to the control switch if you take your time. Also made sure the actual Booster at the pedal was not being crimped or would interfere with throttle. Took it out for a ride and what a difference. Throttle response is incredible !!! If you own a late model Z with Exedy clutch you know the 1st to 2nd gear shift on a manual trans is difficult to get smooth. Seems no matter what setting you put the unit on it makes the 1 - 2 shift very clean and downshifts are cleaner also. So far I like the green 8 setting but did use the red 9 for a blast. It was quite potent ... Will drive around for a while and see where the setting needs to be for daily driving. I know there are many pros and cons on this unit but for me I think it really helps the responsiveness of the car and I believe it could take a 10th of a second off 0 to 60 times just because of how fast the car now reacts. Hot Rod Z

I'm glad you like your sprint booster. But don't be fooled into thinking it makes your car any faster. Mashing the gas pedal down faster gets you the same results :twocents:

I know this item is VERY controversial. That being said when car manufactures first went over the electronic F.I., most of the cars still had throttle cables. This made for fast wide open throttle. Basically it was a 1 to 1 reaction to how far and hard you hit the gas pedal. When vehicle manufactures when to computer controlled "drive by wire" pedals they built in delay. This especially on early drive by wire cars they needed that small delay to let the computers determine air / fuel inlet. Years later computers in cars have come a long way but most all drive by wire cars still have delay built into the throttle body. Yes its small maybe one tenth of a second but if it takes one tenth of a second to get to wide open throttle then the car reacts slower. If items like the Sprint booster cut that time and open the throttle blades 8/100's faster then your 0 to 60 time has to improve. Sprint booster almost gives you the 1 to 1 reaction "on the red race 9" setting that carb and throttle cable vehicles had in the past. Just my opinion and I know there is NO Horse Power gain with Sprint booster, that being said throttle response and car reaction is quicker. Today I like it. Maybe next week I won't. :rofl2:

JARblue 06-14-2019 11:02 PM

One tenth of a second is being extremely generous.

Yea you're probably correct on that. Maybe 6 one hundreds of a second would be closer.
