Also what is this for? It sits on top of the battery. Searching the FCC says vehicle tracking and if it's not there by Nissan it will be removed. I bought it used and I believe a company was using it as a fleet car for their employees if I remember the carfax correctly.

Quick google search on the p/n says its a GPS antenna, and so yeah if it was a fleet vehicle, that makes sense.

Decided to drive the Z today... and i think my throwout bearing is going.

Foot off pedal, sounds like metal to metal (no rhyme intended)
Foot resting on pedal, sound goes away but i hear some chatter that's not normal.
Foot all the way in, will change gear but something feels unstable.

It's parked for now and i'm going full HondaGANG until i have time to take it in to have it looked at. Suspiciously started having noise issues after a trip to get the master fixed earlier this year.

Sounds kinda normal. Service the tranny fluid and see if it quits up a bit.

Trans fluid has nothing to do with the clutch system in this car. It's completely isolated.

On top of the fact i've been driving this thing for years with a lightweight flywheel, the amount of noise is beyond the "acceptable" amount at this point.

Hopefully Canadian customs doesn't seize the shipment because F.I. stuffed the pipes with $100 bills as a way to remit illicit cash proceeds from untaxed maple syrup sales back into America's Hat.

Be sure to donate to your local sperm bank before the install. NVH afterwards is so bad your boys will be swimming in circles.

"The Great Canadian Maple Syrup Heist is an informal name for a months-long robbery between 2011–12 of nearly 3,000 tons of maple syrup, valued at C$18.7 million from a storage facility in Quebec. The facility was operated by the Federation of Quebec Maple Syrup Producers (French: Fédération des producteurs acéricoles du Québec, FPAQ) who represent 77% of the global maple syrup supply,[1] and have been compared to a cartel.[2] Adjusted for inflation (2018) this heist was the most valuable in Canadian history."

mishuko 06-26-2019 01:28 PM

I feel you. I scheduled work from home the day it was supposed to arrive. Car was on the lift, stock exhaust already removed. Started unboxing it before the UPS man drove off.
