Which is why I need all the help I can get. These are OEM pieces and they have instructions and all hardware needed to mount them. I just have to be able to see what I'm doing.... :wtf2:

Just got that same setup installed on my car yesterday. It honestly surpassed my expectations and sounds amazing. You'll love it.

Get a spray bottle and fill with water, then put in 1 tablespoon of distilled white vinegar. It works like a champ. Little stinky but you don't have to clean them 2 and 3 times to get them not to streak.

Leingod 05-12-2019 03:40 PM

So $50 in painters tape and this is happening right now.... All for zdayz

If we catch rain on the way down followed by intense heat, the paint is coming off asap. Not going to risk damaging the clear coat for basic rock chip protection. The front bumper already has a clear vinyl on it anyways.

If you have trouble with streaks on your glass (inside or outside) you are using the wrong kind of towel and/or too much product. If the glass is especially dirty then you can use whatever towel and a lot of cleaner. After most of the excess product is removed, wipe off the rest with a quality glass towel. If the glass is pretty clean, then a glass towel and minimal amount of product is all that is needed.

I watch videos of people literally covering the entire glass surface with a product. What a waste. For me, one light misting on the towel is usually sufficient for half the front windshield or one door window.

Yep, still a pain in the arse. Hard to keep the back of my hand from touching the window and then dust loves a clean window so don't turn on AC or vents. I don't worry about it to much. Close enough is good enough because racecar!

Took my headlight off, drained the water, and put silicone where the halo wire comes out of the opening since there is a gap in the rubber ring and cap. Hoping that was the cause and not the rest of the headlight seal. Only to later fully realize my headlight bulb is either burnt out or my headlight is borked. Really hoping its the lightbulb... I thought that side appeared darker but I don't drive at night often and didn't think of checking. It's an after Zdayz project since there is now silicone I have to remove to even get in there. YAY

I had moisture in my 350z headlight and thought the bulb was out too. Turns out the ballast was fried. I'd try replacing that first.

Adam's Polishes glass cleaner and glass towels for sure. Also, nitrile gloves! I go through 20 pairs or so when I detail my Z.

Racecar is always the answer.

Lol although i am OCD as hell when it comes to windows. Atleast the interior has to be smudge free to make sure that limited viewing is maximized

LOL, that is too much work. I use rag company glass cleaning polishing towels after following the method Jar posted. She looks good but ain't no hard parking show car. Hell, I got to get the sand and dust out of her after doing a little off roading at the track the weekend my motor blew back in November.

Vinegar mixed with water, crumpled up news paper (not the Ads with color ink). Streak free...

Wouldnt recommend on tinted windows though.

I hope its one of the two. I'll buy both for when I do take it apart thanks! I'm hoping the bottom piece that the ballast connects to isn't shot. It has rust on it from where water sat but it appears sealed.

Update: apparently you can buy that piece with it too, it's the igniter

I use gloves when I wipe down by the front windshield - both the window and the dash - to avoid the rubbing the clean surfaces. Don't bother with gloves anywhere else.

You need to get over there when the motor is pulled so you can detail that empty engine bay

Rag Company FTMFW. Adam's towels are way overpriced. I have both. I do use a variety of Adam's cleaners though.

Agreed! I use Adam's car car products too. Yeah it would be nice to get a fresh coat of paint. Seb does a good job of cleaning things up. My problem is I like to take off road excursions from time to time LOL.
