After having the roadster on the market for some time now, we had a fairly serious offer but still under our asking price. So what did we do? PULLED her off the market and decided to keep her!!! We have had her since she was new and she is going to stay in the family. Nice looking shoes Donald @onzedge

Nice roadster, I really like that color combo. Is that a coupe spoiler installed on the roadster?

Thanks! It's actually a Spoiler Solutions spoiler that they only made for a limited time. I installed it about two weeks after we got the car in July of 2010. It was a long morning of measuring before I drilled holes in our brand new roadster. :icon17: It actually came from Spoiler Solutions with factory match paint. They did t a great job and everyone that didn't know better thought it was factory.

It looks like it is stock being so similar to the spoilers that comes on the coupe. Very nice job with the install too.

They could have gotten away with 7 holes.

Noticed some smudging behind the 3 dials on the dash. Well one of them. Ocd...

I'm having some issues with the two top bolts. This is as good as it's going to get for now.

Are you going to use some sealant after you resolve the 2 bolt issue?

In addition to the gasket that goes around the mounting perimeter of the spoiler self, I'm going to put a nice thick ring of silicone around each hole. I figured that will serve dual purposes of sealing the holes and also acting like an adhesive for a little extra something something.

BoneZ 09-23-2018 06:13 PM

But we have rain coming in all this week so I just pulled the spoiler off and put gaffers tape over the holes.

BoneZ 09-23-2018 06:14 PM

It'll look stupid for a while but what else can I do?

old guy 09-24-2018 09:14 AM

If you had to drill anything take some touch up paint and cover the raw metal also, just a little added insurance

It's aluminum though, isn't it?

I use cold galvanizing paint on the bare surface first if the hole is covered.

I got all my gauges plus the Greddy Profec installed today. I'm not sure if I'll keep the EBC there though.

Do I need to get you some fuzzy dice to hang from the mirror to go
with that carpeted dash? If so, they are on me.

Please do, but won't your mirror look bare then.

I have a scented Crown on the dash that can take care of the smell.

I appreciate the generosity but I kind of like the smell of ethanol. I'd have no use for the dingle balls you have hanging from your windows either. If you're really feeling generous, I could use a built block.

Watching youtube videos to learn before attempting install of back up camera with no skills. Luckily it is wireless so, all I have to do is install on license plate, remove rear cargo panels to get access to run cable into the car and figure out how to tap into the wires.

On my wireless, all I did is pull one of my tail lights and tapped into the reverse light wires. I placed the transmitter behind the access panel. My camera is built into one of the license plate light housings.

I wonder if I can tap and have it run all the time? Not sure if this camera and monitor can tolerate it.
