Took it to the shop that does all my suspension work, they did it in about what seemed like 15min :ugh2:

***Already asked the wife for a battery powered "impact gun" and low profile jack for christmas***

Feedback on new sway is that the car feels tighter, more stable and taking curves at higher speeds than i used to is easier, although I need to do more driving to really test it out

Then went for a wash, now shes looking sexy :icon17:

Did you loosen the bushings first? If not the ends can be very difficult to get off. Plus you need a wrench on the backside or they'll just spin.

Anyway, glad you like 'em. I've had mine for a few years and really like them. I added Hotchkis greasable bushings to mine to make lubing easier.

What part of the state you in? Around the 'burgh, or "The City of Brothers on Drugs" Philly?

Thinking on mothballing the Z for a few months. Won't be able to drive it and work on it one handed. Have an appointment with the surgeon this Friday about reattaching my bicep muscle to my forearm. :shakes head:

Picked some flooring weighting about 80 lbs or more from a shelf. Turned around to load it on a cart. And it just ripped, and I heard it. :shakes head: And you are talking to a guy who can do 30 chin ups, or used to. :icon14:

old guy 07-26-2017 07:10 AM

Damn, bro
That had to be painful, made me cringe just reading about it!
Best of luck!
Hope your rehab is short and you get back to 100% with that arm!

Rick

Even rather new parts go without warning. Happened to me too many times for me to remember

Its been a trying week :icon14:

Swap out the stockers for the Volk GTF's and go for a cruise on the Hendley
and the Cusco locker doesn't like that and pops, groans, and growls and the whining!

Kill every bug on the road with burning oil puking from the diff and burning on the exhaust.... quite the trip :rofl2:

Stock diff going back in on Friday @ Speedtech. The Cusco is done!

The tire pressure keeps dropping on the rear tires and so .......
take it to a tire shop that I've always used and all the staff has changed
and I don't know anyone WTF?

They say the leak is from the centre of the rim on both rear tires and must be the seal on the rims.

My reply was that I thought these were one piece barrels and you were the last fuckers to touch them when you replaced the TPMS sensors; SO what did you do to them? :shakes head:

My guess is that they damaged the seal when they banded the sensors to the barrel and of course they take no responsibility for it.

Of course it was my believe that the Volk 10.5" rims were a one piece barrel but maybe I'm wrong?

After the car is back from the diff repair, I'll take the rims to a wheel specialty company and them repaired for $75 per tire.

The adventure never ends and thanks for letting me vent lol

sp911 07-26-2017 11:37 AM

glanced at my odo as a smart car zipped by me in the fast lane doing about 90. quite the funny sight.
:rofl2:

I done some simple math on the speed of the SmartCar at 90 + mph.

(WEC x ReCT) - 3498+ (25396 x THS) x pHD + (ZXY x YZX) + square root of 3= to falling off a cliff. :driving:

Yeah, Good OLD Rusty just jinxed me. The left arm, hand, and fingers did the tingly thing today with my forearm burning. It appears the other disk they didn't fix on my first surgery is telling me it's pissed. Back to the Dr. on Friday. This is not good. Dr. said I would know a year after the surgery if I would be good to go. That was a year and a month ago.

All this rain has made it very difficult. The barometric pressure changes are giving me the dickens. We shall see what the Dr. says. I don not want another surgery. I have already been warned it will be much worse than the first one. That mother was tough enough. I just soon skip it all.

Years ago when I had kidney surgery. Thought about chewing on the end of a gun barrel. That was pure misery! :shakes head: Know what you're going though.

I just got my Sullivan Racing pedals. My car is in the shop today getting coilovers and sway bars installed, hopefully I'll get the pedals installed tomorrow.

Post up some pics once you get them installed.

Got a Covercraft UVS100 windshield shade from Amazon to protect the dash and interior. Really good custom fit and well insulated.

Hotrodz 07-27-2017 11:07 PM

I got one of those about a month ago and it is awesome! Best sun shade I have ever owned. Got one for the wife's S5 as well. The fit is spot on as stated!!!

Kzonts 07-28-2017 02:55 AM

You convinced me to order one too :-)

I don't usually leave the car in the sun very long, but that may happen at some point and this will help.

After your review I just bought one from Amazon. I was looking at getting one sometime but didn't know which to buy. 114$ CAD shipped to my door. Not too bad

ChopsZ 07-28-2017 08:22 AM

Ordered some more goodies last night, a pair of Memphis Audio PRX27's for the dash and some Dynamat for the doors.

Pic for fun...

We get days over 115* and between the window tinting and the shad the car is significantly cooler than when I had other shades. I don't even cover my shift knob as it is no longer to hot to handle lol.

Jayhovah 07-28-2017 09:21 AM

Nice!!! I use the HeatShield brand of custom cut shades and it works well for me =) Doesn't look as clean from the outside in though because you roll it up and after a while it gets a little wrinkly looking... but it covers the whole windshield and as long as I use it my big *** SS shift knob only gets a little warm. On days I forget I use a little Z1 Zino athletic arm band to insulate my hand from it.

:iagree: Great product, I buy one every time I get a new car.

Leingod 07-29-2017 05:20 PM

Bought some slightly banged up illuminated kick plates from a user here a few weeks ago. Girlfriend used her graphic artists skills and carbon fiber wrapped them for me. Finally got to install them yesterday. I'm happy with the results for $50 well spent. hahaha
