Raining with thunder today. Calling for freezing rain and possible 4" of snow north of here. nothing within the 10 day forecast looks good.

A friend is pulling the windows and windshield in the '60 C-10 and putting in new sheet metal for the roof and inside. New seals for doors and all glass.

Going to try this weekend to figure out how to route the long hoses with the 240 deg bent ends to get attached to the thermostatic plate. I have the bracket made for the Setrab on the drivers side.

Got a stick up my arse about this guy, couldn't decide between aluminum and black, went with black and red turtle. Wanted something different with the new fascia being painted after a misshap in the parking lot or at the dealer, couldn't prove that either was at fault.

Damn protectors are expensive - $170 for the lower driver side and $6 a rivet.

https://nebula.wsimg.com/obj/OTZFNjR...Y5OWU6Ojo6OjA=

The insurance adjuster was quite kind, new front fascia, new lower bumper and lower protector. When all said and done it was $2K in damage.

http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a3...131_102330.jpg

Better shot of damage, 4" cut that ya can't really see, along with stress cracks and the the rolled under bumper.

You must be living right.
23 here with snow.We may not have summer this year.

Neighbor's wife brought over a package that was mis-delivered yesterday. She offered condolences for my divorce, and I ended up giving her a ride in the Z (she used to drive a 350Z). I scared the hell out of her sister when we left (cause slidewayZ) but we came back intact and with more wine and all was well :icon17:

Having a similarly outdoor (but much colder) experience myself.... Last second guys-trip to Vail for the last weekend of the season... Hoping there's some snow to go along with the party!

The BMW guys I was going to drive with this morning called at 6am saying they heard the mountain road we were gonna drive had a bad accident blocking both lanes. Ended up doing a bunch of tunnel runs downtown (in Mexico of course).
I guess the Stillen exhaust sounds better at 7.5krpm in a tunnel.
Kept up with the E92 M3 surprisingly well.
Did not keep up with the full bolt on E60 M5, unsurprisingly well.

Upgraded stock brakes to Akebono Nissan Grey sport package on 18" stock rims Tight fit up front but works! Slipped in Hawk Ceramics in prep for ZdayZ.
Took 13 hours because First, Z1 sent a driver front caliper unboxed and sitting on a rotor ... wrecked it - They overnighted a replacement. In all that commotion, I didn't catch they didn't send the spring clips and pins, (3 hours hunting for aftermarket replacements locally) and they sent SS line for a Q60... not a 370Z... seriously, that packer needs to be ******* fired! They are sending replacement lines and fluid, so I get to go bleed and **** again. But at least they are on.
Didn't get the Hotchkis sway bar installed because... Z1... and ran out of time, but I gotta put it back up for new lines anyway, so guess I'll do it then

This seems to be a common theme with Z1...

Their shipping costs for all these returns has to be a profit goldmine... just sayin

Their shipping prices, in general, must be a goldmine.

It's costing them a goldmine for these returns and screw-ups. :shakes head: Glad my last order from them was good.

Spent the weekend building my subwoofer setup. Jahoava got me thinking after checking out his fiberglass install. Went with a mold of my spare tire, layers of fiberglass, and some mdf board and here’s my results so far. Going with a pioneer 10” slum sub. Currently have a kicker hideaway back there instead of that crappy bose sub.

I put in the iJDMTOY taillight yesterday, and the illuminated door sills a couple a weeks ago... compared to some of the stuff you guys do it seems pretty boring! I did get to drive it a bit, and I can't believe how much I love this car!

Ghostvette 04-16-2018 09:24 AM

I bought oil & a filter....:ugh2:

I still can't get into my garage because of all the moving boxes.....:eekdance:

Funny how the mod bug goes around, huh?

You catch it a few times a year and just have to "add to cart" and spend money to provide yourself with some relief!!!

My recent bug was only subsided by the purchase and install of some interior/exterior lights (Diode Dynamics), picked up a Nismo radiator cap (b/c RC!), Motordyne ART pipes (waiting to combine with another bug - tune!), and EVO-R CF Rear diffuser (hopeful on an install this week).

Hopefully the bug just does its usual thing and goes around and flames out... UNTIL NEXT TIME!

gsx95 04-16-2018 02:45 PM

I'm probably not gonna go too crazy while I have the warranty...besides, I have an Evo that I bought new in 2003 and modded for power until I hit a point where I didn't like it as much. I wouldn't want to do that again. I really like the way this car feels stock...except maybe for the clutch feel, lol!

I research my projects on what I need at that time frame. Then save up for doing the project in the winter. As my Z is garaged. My next 3 items are 1. coil-overs. 2. aero. 3. clutch. But if the clutch acts up. Then it gets moved to 1. and the other 2 get moved down.

I know what you are doing. You're melting your credit card into a smelting lump of plastic.

Which one though? My personal or corporate card? Personal is aluminium. Corporate is that fancy black amex thing.

Your personal. So now it's a smokin' pile of melted aluminum.

Installed 370zdesignz.com tablet setup in place of the cubby. Much better for Torque app than on an Appradio HU, not to mention being able to run nav etc. Didn't realize the Appradio would only run 1 program at a time. So no music while running Torque etc. FAIL!
