I drove to work... my intermittent EVAP code now turns on every other time I drive, as predicted by a Nissan tech that I recently met. According to him, its enough of a problem now that the techs should be able to figure out what is causing it. It's terrifying, but I am probably going to take it into a dealership *shudder* to get it troubleshot.

Yea i get the Evap code too, last time this happened, nissan tech told me that he can't find the problem, he cleared the codes and that was about a year ago and it popped up again...sigh

Had some rear end work done recently:

Tip for the day. When changing oil, don't assume that it will continue draining into the pan if you center it up and walk away. Instead it runs along the oil pan and drains just past the edge of the pan as it slows down.

Good thing the garage is epoxy coated. Wasn't much, but what a hassle.

A shitty life tip would be to just not ever change your oil. No more mess!

Some people just trade in the car when it runs out of oil!

Exactly, I was getting everything together to put my winter wheels on, since I had the car up in the air.

Sounds similar to when installing new brake lines, make sure all lines are tightened down before bleeding the system. HUGE puddle of brake fluid.

My parts from Z1 came today. So I installed the XP10 and XP 8 pads tonight. And chased the threads on the lug nuts and wheel studs with a tap and die.

Worst case scenario I had several years ago was after an oil change,I moved the oil pan out of harms way.I was under the car when my then 3 year old came whipping around the corner & promptly stepped into the pan. Looks like a guy by the name of “Murphy” was helping me too.

Oh fine. I get blamed for everything. I’m a very responsible person. Responsible for most problems. :rofl2:

My favorite salad. Murphy Slaw.

I finally cleared my P2A03 code, turns out the bolts had rattled loose on the header to test pipe flange, and was able to pass my emissions inspection with the test pipes still on.

You were born in the long summer, you've never known anything else. But now winter is truly coming.

Leingod 11-09-2017 10:23 AM

My car has heated seats! And it's in storage in a heated facility! Jokes on me!

And in the winter, we must protect ourselves, look after one another.

My Z has been parked in my garage since July. :shakes head: Can't drive a manual with a bummed arm. So I've been throwing parts at it. Now I'm in the group buy for the vented hood inserts.

I was interested in the Vented hood insert myself, until I caught a local deal on a VIS Carbon Fiber Hood. It was all oxidized and fogged up from being out in the sun so I had my buddy clean it up and give it a new clear. It goes exceptionally well with the 40th edition paint and wheels, as I expected. The look is way more aggressive now! Yea, I know, the headlights need some love next.

Also put in the AAM CAI. The car definitely sounds better, and louder. There is a real nice resonance now. Had the car tuned shortly after and really loving it all! Ill post tune results and more in my own thread soon.

I'm not sure what the max pressure is on that gauge, I'd have to check with the manufacturer.

Mine will be here Monday, but the Autotech oil pressure sensor adapter is backordered and the company won't contact me back about a refund or getting the product out so I'm a bit stuck at the moment.
