LOL, I never use one at home and I have access to an air compressor and impact wrench. Now my dually truck, heck yes I break out the impact.

Everything other than changing oil is a first for me. When it comes to working on cars, I have much to learn lol. Saving grace is that the fleet is pretty much identical under the skin, so I don’t need to relearn things.

Just bought an impact, on sale at HomeDepot, just the lower end consumer grade Ryobi cordless, but that’ll work for me.

Finally decided to get the Z1 Post-MAF's this past Black Friday and installed them. They say it takes about 45 minutes to 1 hour. For me, it took 4-5 hours total due to being a weaksauce and no muscles. Side note, did not have to trim anything like mentioned in a few threads.

Real drivers never lift. However with that being said, torque is your friend. Long wrench handles are the way to go when possible.

Work smarter not harder!

Got my hella horns yesterday to replace stock horns. Once I get my LED headlight bulbs will do the install as the bumper needs to come off for both jobs.

Installed Z1 2 pc rears...courtesy of PharmDZ.....

Like a dumbass I realized I installed them backward after already buttoned everything back up one side....so I swung the rubber mallet at my balls a couple of times, then sucked it up and corrected it.

Well at least now I’m an expert at installing the traction arms now.

A night at the Roxbury?

Fuzzzy 01-01-2020 11:16 AM

You are supposed to roll the window down prior to throwing the Dom Perignon bottle out.

OTW Z-Boy 01-01-2020 11:44 AM

That’s insane...

But now that we have moved on to making lite of it.

At least you closed out 2019 with a bang

Dropped it off at the body shop yesterday. When the window broke it scratched the crap out of the quarter panel so that's getting repainted

abm89 01-03-2020 08:59 AM

come on guys, we know the real reason this happened:

Z_ealot 01-03-2020 11:39 PM

Picked up my third nail in the rear driver tire a couple weeks back and about to roll over the 194,000 mile mark.... still going strong :)

Z_ealot 01-04-2020 07:07 PM

Well, took her in for a fluid change on the diff and found a slight issue, just a little minor seepage but looks like the diff needs a new pinion seal

abm89 01-05-2020 08:02 PM

I managed to fix the issue with my rpi computer in the dash. So now I have my digital gauges again! Unfortunately, I don't have any data being read for the Injector duty cycle, when i did have a fancy graph before. I'll have to look into that and see if it is a software issue (likely).

I also washed the car and used some VRP on the faded dash. It really worked well to restore it without the glare that some other cleaners use. So, I highly recommend it to anyone who's got a faded dash.

Still waiting on the Z1 Hi-Flow cats. I'm tired of the smell (and smelling like the car with the windows down) and I would like to match the diameter of my Motordyne catback (currently running Invidia Test Pipes which are 60mm diameter, which is about 2.34 inches). I thought about doing it myself, but i may just have WR do it because they have a lift and can probably do it in 30 Min. Definitely not a knock on Invidia products as I've had good experiences with them and I plan to get their full Ti R400 catback for my daily (eventually)

Ouch.. someone smashed my passenger side window a week after I got the car. It is a PITA to replace. Good luck.

Just got a call from the body shop. Door has to be repainted too along with the quarter panel. They said it'll be done by Friday. I'm just happy I had my comprehensive deductible so low lol

Yeah I thought i was slick with the high deductible on mine since I don't drive it often, but that doesn't help when the garage provided by the complex has cracked plaster falling on the car.

At this point im looking into just buying new bumpers and getting the car wrapped.
